2007-2014 deletion and media issues[edit]

Image:Texas_Mexico_Disputed_Border_1836_to_1848.PNG listed for deletion[edit]

You have to change the liscening template, I've changed it to {{GFDL}}. Check it out and if that's right, then leave it, if not change it. Cbrown1023 20:18, 7 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, there is attribution needed that the original unedited image was from http://www.tamu.edu/ccbn/dewitt/co&tex1836.htm#currtex, updated the image license, Thanks

Proposed Bungie Studios[edit]

Hi, I noticed that you had several fair use images in your subpage User:Muaddeeb/Templates/proposed Bungie Studios. I made it such that they don't display, but still link (so you don't have to add all of the code when moving to the articlespace) see diff. Per the criterion 9 of the fair use policy, fair use images are not allowed in the userspace so I removed the image itself, a link remains to each. I don't mean to be intrusive, it's just that Wikipedia needs to be very careful with fair use images. Thanks, James086Talk | Email 09:14, 23 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Uhh, yeah but this is just for testing purposes only, pending the actual merge of the two articles, PLEASE —-— .:مؤدّب • amed-muʿaddib • أحمد:. (talkcontribs) 07:26, 24 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion of Method study ?[edit]

This is an automated message from CorenSearchBot. I have performed a web search with the contents of Method study, and it appears to be a substantial copy of http://www.the-saudi.net/kg/tools/methods.htm. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted text or images borrowed from other web sites or printed material; such additions will be deleted. You may use external websites as a source of information, but not as a source of sentences.

This message was placed automatically, and it is possible that the bot is confused and found similarity where none actually exists. If that is the case, you can remove the tag from the article and it would be appreciated if you could drop a note on the maintainer's talk page. CorenSearchBot 02:21, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on Method study, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia per CSD g12.

Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not meet basic Wikipedia criteria may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as an appropriate article, and if you can indicate why the subject of this article is appropriate, you may contest the tagging. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the article and leave a note on the article's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm its subject's notability under the guidelines.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion. To do this, add {{hangon}} on the top of the page (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag) and leave a note on the page's talk page explaining your position. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself. Hersfold (t/a/c) 02:24, 2 October 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:PhilTrust banner 408x71.gif and Image:Red ribbon bakeshop.gif[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:PhilTrust banner 408x71.gif and Image:Red ribbon bakeshop.gif. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Template:OSiModel requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section T3 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because it is a deprecated or orphaned template. After seven days, if it is still unused and the speedy deletion tag has not been removed, the template will be deleted.

If the template is intended to be substituted, please feel free to remove the speedy deletion tag and please consider putting a note on the template's page indicating that it is substituted so as to avoid any future mistakes (<noinclude>{{transclusionless}}</noinclude>).

Thanks. --MZMcBride (talk) 04:11, 16 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned non-free media (File:Microsoft Popfly Beta.png)[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Microsoft Popfly Beta.png. The media description page currently specifies that it is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, it is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the media was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that media for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that all non-free media not used in any articles will be deleted after seven days, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. Thank you. BJBot (talk) 05:11, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AfD nomination of List of firsts[edit]

An editor has nominated one or more articles which you have created or worked on, for deletion. The nominated article is List of firsts. We appreciate your contributions, but the nominator doesn't believe that the article satisfies Wikipedia's criteria for inclusion and has explained why in his/her nomination (see also Wikipedia:Notability and "What Wikipedia is not").

Your opinions on whether the article meets inclusion criteria and what should be done with the article are welcome; please participate in the discussion(s) by adding your comments to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/List of firsts. Please be sure to sign your comments with four tildes (~~~~).

You may also edit the article during the discussion to improve it but should not remove the articles for deletion template from the top of the article; such removal will not end the deletion debate.

Please note: This is an automatic notification by a bot. I have nothing to do with this article or the deletion nomination, and can't do anything about it. --Erwin85Bot (talk) 01:17, 3 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Philtrust Bank has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

No indication of notability.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Raykyogrou0 (Talk) 09:41, 12 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

It is the first private bank with no state-sponsorship, unlike the two older banks before it the Banco Espanol-Filipino under Spanish regime and the Philippine National Bank which was the state bank under American colonial administration.

The bank is one of the businesses owned by prominent Chinese-Filipino businessman, Emilio Yap.

I have edited the article to reflect this notability, and will continue to research sources to prove its notability. This is a well-established bank in the history of Philippine finance!

"Throughout its 96 years of banking service, Philtrust Bank has acquired a reputation for conservatism and reliability and has enjoyed the trust and confidence of the business community and the general public. This policy has been its guiding principle throughout its banking history.

Philtrust Bank has been consistently rated as one of the most outstanding banks in the country especially for its liquidity position. It is one of the few commercial banks without any local and foreign loan or guarantee obligations."

i will continue editing this article in the next few days, KEEP this article and DO NOT DELETE..

Thanks! —-— .:مؤدّب • amed-muʿaddib • أحمد:. (talkcontribs) 12:06, 13 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed deletion of AT&T iGEMS[edit]

The article AT&T iGEMS has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

I'm not convinced of the notability of this topic. If it is notable, then I think a full rewrite is still in order because the current article is quite promotional in tone.
