I've discovered that you deleted a page on i on 16 December 2009. This person was my grandfather, and his murder by the IRA at Ballyturin on 15 May 1921 was a signifiant event in the Irish War of Independence and was a very significant event at the time. I'm intrigued why you chose to delete it, and what it contained. This is the first time I've used Talk, and only set up an account tonight, so I hope this gets to you OK! I've actually been inactive for quite a while, and I don't remember the article in particular, but based on what I put in the deletion summary, someone proposed it's deletion based on the fact that he was only notable for one event, which does not qualify for a page on Wikipedia, and since it sat that way for over a week, it was deleted. You can request it to be undeleted, with more information about why he deserves an article, but that does not guarantee that it will succeed. Unfortunately I don't check this page very often, and it was only by chance that I stumbled upon your request, so I recommend following up with other channels if you would like to proceed. Thanks, MrKIA11 (talk) 05:50, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
Thanks for your reply. I appreciate you taking the time to respond. I'll think about what I should do next.101.162.2.59 (talk) 08:36, 10 February 2014 (UTC)
