Final Entry from Mythology8[edit]

Mr. Lefty, I will gladly update, remove and/or edit the page as you so wish. I will state to you directly that I adimantly disagree, but will not push this issue. I will simply leave a link to a recent article where Mr. Murtha himself is quoted. I don't think there is anything wrong with a direct quote. Respectfully, Mythology8

Thanks for reverting vandalism on my talk page[edit]

A quick thank you for reverting the vandalism by User:172.144.192.236 on my talk page. Much appreciated. Gwernol 16:53, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

do your research[edit]

Mr. Left, please do your research before you modify other people's work (the redirect on newly created Horham page). Horham England is NOT Horam England. Horham is in Suffolk, Horam in East Sussex.

Page moves ON WHEELS!!![edit]

You might want to act a bit more appropriately than moving things to titles with ON WHEELS!!! in the pagename. You were blocked automatically for pagemove vandalism by Curps' bot. I've unblocked you... please don't do it again. --Lord Deskana Dark Lord of the Sith 20:51, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I apologize. It's just that the page title said "move this," so I did. I figured it was a joke page, and you know me and joke pages...anyway, I'm really sorry, and it won't happen again. Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 20:56, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
No need to apologise. No harm done. I like being immature as well. It's just I don't want you to get blocked again. --Lord Deskana Dark Lord of the Sith 20:57, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]
I was testing to see if I moved "movethis1" to "movethis2", and I moved "movethis2" back to "movethis1" would work. --GeorgeMoney T·C 21:15, 11 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A rant about Ann Coulter[edit]

Coulter. facts are not vandalism. Coulter chose 06/06/06 as the date to release her book. Coulter continuously and repeatedly makes venemous, outrageous, mean-spirited remarks aimed to do harm to people. She fits the warnings in Matthew 7 verse 15 through 23 perfectly. She ignores facts in the remarks she makes and attempts to recreate the truth through her unsubstantiated comments. In conclusion, venemous lies, claiming christian beliefs while working as a hate monger and attacking widows and orphans in addition to anyone working for their beliefs which are consistent with New Testament values all while claiming divine assistance. If that doesn't describe the Whore of babylon I don't know what does. Suffice it to say the text should at the very least read, some believe her to be the whore of babylon should be included.

Additionally, her remarks about President Clinton are very serious charges against a former head of government. They should be qualified as unsubstantiated remarks and changing that text is vandalism in a Coulter style attempt to make something true just by saying it

There is nothing neutral about ann coulter or her remarks. Her quotes are extremely provoking and slanderous. If wikipedia is going to giver her quotes life then some criticisms should be allowed. Let her defend the Babylon thing the next time she goes on television. She gets a heck of a lot more coverage than anyone else in this forum.

Telling children their mothers are happy their fathers are dead. Accusing a former president of rape. These comments are beyond reasonable. Some reasoning for her outrageous behavior should be discussed. After all these comments are something you would expect to here from a person with serious pych disorders. Television media does not play rantings and ravings of mentally ill people and provide them a forum. Some investigation into why she is given a forum is legitimate. One explanation could be she is the whore of babylon. Perhaps not the only explanation, but I haven't heard any strong arguments for other reasons her statements are aired. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 68.251.179.41 (talkcontribs).

she is herself a string of wild conspiracy theories and her quotes are not npov. If nothing else a see also to Matthew 7:15-23 Warning against false prophets should be included.

"Beware of false prophets, who come to you in sheeps clothing, but inwardly are ravenous wolves. You will know them by their fruits. Are grapes gathere from thorns, or figs from thistles? So, every sound tree bears good fruit, but the bad tree bears evil fruit. A sound tree cannot bear evil fruit, nor can a bad tree bear good fruit. Every tree that does not bear good fruit is cut down and thrown into the fire. Thus you will kmow them by their fruits.

Not everyone who says to me lord, lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of my father who is in heaven. On that day many will say to me Lord, Lord, did we not prophesy in your name, and cast out demons in your name and do mighty works in your name? And then I will declare to them, "I never knew you, depart from me you evildoers.""

No problem! Luckily, my pages haven't been vandalised much lately (partially due the fact that I'm recently busy and wasn't able to do that much anti-vandalism work), but when it was, it wasn't pretty at all. (See User:GHe#Personal Vandalism Count) :) G.He 00:41, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

reconsider Java?[edit]

Java is well known as a programming language only among IT workers, or people with some connection with IT... Admittedly Java may only be well known as an island among people with some geographical knowledge (or the 250+ million people who live in Indonesia), but I think that's still a much broader base. And consider that python, c, lisp, etc. are also well known as programming languages, but none of those articles default to disambiguation pages. -- Danny Yee 01:49, 17 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia Article:Yahweh issue.[edit]

Mr. Lefty

On June 6, 2006, an editor cut and pasted almost the complete Wikisource Article:1911 Encyclopædia Britannica/Jehovah Wikisource into the Wikipedia Article:Yahweh.
Wikisource rules state:
The wiki pages on most Wikimedia projects are designed to evolve forever.
Typical examples are Wikipedia articles or Wikibooks study guides.
By contrast, Wikisource is a library of static texts that have already been published elsewhere.
In many or most cases, these texts are not meant to change and evolve,
and it would deeply hurt their integrity if they did!
Does Wikipedia approve of a complete ["almost" complete] Wikisource Article being brought into a Wikipedia Article, and then having that Wikisource article freely edited by Wikipedia editors?
Wikisource would not approve of edits being made to that article while it was posted on their site, if those edits resulted in changes being made to the actual original text.

RfA thanks![edit]

Thanks for voting!
Hello Mr. Lefty/Archive 2, and thank you so much for voting in my recent RfA. I am pleased to inform you that it passed with a final tally of (119/1/3), into the WP:100, so I have now been cleared for adminship and will soon be soaring above the clouds. I was overjoyed, shocked, and humbled by the tally, and, most importantly, all the support. Thank you. If there is ever anything you need, you know where you can find me. Take care.

I keep getting these messages saying that I changed pages and I didn't even do it. This is so gay. —The preceding unsigned comment was added by 152.163.100.67 (talkcontribs).

Well, if you look at the notice on your talk page, it says that your IP address is shared and often changes. So, there are plenty of innocent bystanders being affected by warnings and blocks. If you didn't do it, just ignore the warnings, and there's a rule here that says AOL IPs can only be blocked for a maximum of fifteen minutes. --Mr. Lefty Talk to me! 19:10, 20 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

A short Esperanzial update[edit]

As you may have gathered, discussions have been raging for about a week on the Esperanza talk page as to the future direction of Esperanza. Some of these are still ongoing and warrant more input (such as the idea to scrap the members list altogether). However, some decisions have been made and the charter has hence been amended. See what happened. Basically, the whole leadership has had a reshuffle, so please review the new, improved charter.

As a result, we are electing 4 people this month. They will replace JoanneB and Pschemp and form a new tranche A, serving until December. Elections will begin on 2006-07-02 and last until 2006-07-09. If you wish to run for a Council position, add your name to the list before 2006-07-02. For more details, see Wikipedia:Esperanza/June 2006 elections.

Thanks and kind, Esperanzial regards, —Celestianpower háblame 16:00, 23 June 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Please help by signing the "Users certifying the basis for this dispute" section, since you were one of those who tried and failed to resolve the dispute. Cross-namespace redirects[edit]

Hi, I did Editcountitis. WP:ASR actually says "Any article in the article namespace that links to one in the Wikipedia namespace" ... "should at least be acknowledged or marked", although I don't know how to mark it. If it is nevertheless a long-standing policy to interpret redirects as "articles" and avoid cross-namespace redirects, it's a strange one - nobody would type "Editcountitis" unless they meant "Wikipedia:Editcountitis". I think the policy was actually intended to say it's unencyclopedic to include comments that belong on the talk page in the middle of an article; they didn't have redirects in mind at all. I understand you all have to do your jobs round here but I'm only trying to maintain a listing for James + his work!!!! Phew!!! There is this grey area on what's allowed/not allowed/notable.
