Talk page etiquette.[edit]

In the future, please don't delete massive discussions and then paste them elsewhere. Unless discussions are particularly disruptive, you shouldn't be altering other people's comments, and we don't delete discussions, especially at big congregations like WikiProjects, we'd WP:ARCHIVE them for future reference (though even then, the last comments were mere hours ago, and the issue is ultimately unresolved, so you wouldn't want to do that yet either.)

If you want to receive input from another relevant venue, that's fine, but start a new discussion, and if you want them to read the prior discussion, just provide a link to the old discussion. Don't move a massive 35K byte discussion, with the comments of many other editors, to another venue like that.

Sure, thank you! mountainhead 14:04, 29 June 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Your signature[edit]

Hello WOLF LΔMBERT. Signatures may not transclude other pages. Please update your signature so that it does not transclude {{User:WOLF LΔMBERT/Handtekening}}. — JJMC89(T·C) 21:03, 1 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, I was unaware of this. Thanks for letting me know! I'll fix it straight away. mountainhead 21:04, 1 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]
May I ask what the SAFESUBST: thing does, by the way? I'm not all too familiar with substituting templates with magic words in them, so I don't see what it changed. mountainhead 02:45, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Rollback granted[edit]

Hi WOLF LΔMBERT. After reviewing your request for "rollbacker", I have enabled rollback on your account. Keep in mind these things when going to use rollback:

  • Getting rollback is no more momentous than installing Twinkle.
  • Rollback should be used to revert clear cases of vandalism only, and not good faith edits.
  • Rollback should never be used to edit war.
  • If abused, rollback rights can be revoked.
  • Use common sense.

If you no longer want rollback, contact me and I'll remove it. Also, for some more information on how to use rollback, see Wikipedia:Administrators' guide/Rollback (even though you're not an admin). I'm sure you'll do great with rollback, but feel free to leave me a message on my talk page if you run into troubles or have any questions about appropriate/inappropriate use of rollback. Thank you for helping to reduce vandalism. Happy editing! Swarm 04:45, 2 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Calvin Harris influences[edit]

Hi User:Mountainhead, can you make an edit to Calvin Harris please? How his musical influences are Jamiroquai and Fatboy Slim (he says here [1]) I don't where to put it or how to phrase it properly, hope you can help. :)--Theo Mandela (talk) 15:00, 15 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I added a paragraph (§ Musical style), which discusses this; hope that did the job! mountainhead 18:05, 19 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

An editor has asked for a Move review of Damn (Kendrick Lamar album). Because you were involved in the move discussion for this page, or otherwise were interested in the page, you might want to participate in the move review. — TheMagnificentist 12:15, 6 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the heads-up! mountainhead 15:15, 6 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Quick question[edit]

Hey mountainhead, hope you're well. Could you please email me? My email is on my user page.

I see you've worked on XXXTentacion’s Wikipedia and had a question I wanted to discuss. Thanks!

CMCreator900 (talk) 16:25, 14 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hey! I doubt that I'll be able to help out, as I don't really know anything about XXXTentacion at all. I'm not sure what I edited, but there's a good chance that it was just grammar or the like.
If you're convinced that you do need my help, feel free to reply or email me instead. mountainhead 18:00, 18 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Catalonia[edit]

Until some UN members begin recognizing Catalan independence, we shouldn't be recognizing it on other country articles. Honestly, let events take care of themselves. Heck, even their supposed president, took flight to Belgium. GoodDay (talk) 15:13, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]

"The disputed region of Catalonia" is hardly recognition. It's stating the facts. In my opinion, the "Catalan Republic" is very little at this point, and it's certainly not a sovereign state (as for now there does not seem to be much resistance to the Spanish takeover, and, as you mentioned, Puigdemont and members of his parliament have fled to Belgium and don't seem to have any control over the territory), but that is my opinion, and Wikipedia is there to be neutral and state the facts. As of now, the facts are, still, that the region's status is a matter of dispute. mountainhead 15:19, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
When you made the edit that you did at Andorra, you completely wiped out Spain. That's not acceptable. GoodDay (talk) 15:27, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I did, indeed, wipe out Spain, because whether or not the territory is Spanish is a matter of dispute. However, I did not replace it with the Catalan Republic. I got rid of an opinionated statement, and replaced it with the most neutral option possible. The disputed territory of Catalonia is not a pro-Catalan statement. mountainhead 15:40, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
I put in this time "...either the Catalan Republic or Spain...". GoodDay (talk) 15:48, 31 October 2017 (UTC)[reply]
