Picture is inaccurate Moosemcghee (talk) 16:57, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Sarah Lancaster image[edit]

I see you are continuing to remove the picture from the Sarah Lancaster article despite being warned above. There is nothing I can see that is "inaccurate" about the picture: it is indeed of Sarah Lancaster. As Logical Fuzz said above, if there is a good reason to remove the picture, that's fine, but please discuss why on the article's talk page at Talk: Sarah Lancaster. If you continue to remove the picture without explaining what is "inaccurate" about it, your changes will be reverted again and may be treated as vandalism. Thank you. -Phoenixrod (talk) 20:55, 26 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have reverted your image addition for now. I agree it's a better photo, and once you establish its copyright status as described below on this page, we can put it back into the article. But for now, we can't use it if there's a possibility that we don't have the right. -Phoenixrod (talk) 03:52, 28 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Lancaster44.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Lancaster44.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 23:06, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:Lancaster44.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag - if no such tag exists then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hangon tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 23:38, 27 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

File:Sarah Lancaster Promo.jpg[edit]

You've uploaded File:Sarah Lancaster Promo.jpg, but it will be deleted. Non-free images are only acceptable on Wikipedia when we cannot possibly get a free one - not "I can't find one", but "cannot get". We can't go out and photograph dead people but for living actresses it shouldn't be too hard. The full details are at Wikipedia:Non-free content. And you've been not to change the picture before. If you want a "better" one, take a better one yourself, or get Ms L's PR company to release a better one under a free license. See Wikipedia:Requesting copyright permission for what that involves.
