I am wondering if you would be interested in petitioning wikipedia to start up a new format of mediawiki style.

I don't intend for this page to actually work or become popular.

I am looking for a semi forum style, with advanced Thesis style tools (mindmapping) / wiki style setup to promote ideas and information pertaining to all of the quests humanity is to endure for the current generations (eg. colonization, earth environment, medical advances, vehicle design, building design, ipod design.... etc) In other words a type of site that procures the thoughts of the many for a common goal.

So far the mediawiki engine is the best starting block, but it needs a more "forum style" approach. I liked the idea of collaborative messaging as designed in Google Wave...if this could be connected to a mediawiki engine that would great.
