License tagging for File:PGP 2009 - Images.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:PGP 2009 - Images.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click the "Edit" tab at the top of the page and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 22:05, 25 December 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, regarding your edits at PGP Corporation, please work to expand the existing article rather than rewrite it. Please cite verifiable reliable sources and do not remove existing referenced information. Your stylized artistic collages do not seem to be encyclopedic, and so are not appropriate for the article. Thanks. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 17:22, 4 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Mike, I received your email via LinkedIn. Please respond here or on Talk:PGP Corporation so that others can see the history of any debate over the edits. First off, I can sympathize with the Symantec buyout. I used to be employed at Veritas which was then bought by Symantec, so I know how that goes. I do not doubt the accuracy of the information you are trying to add to the acticle, but Wikipedia policies require that we try to have verifiable information with cites from external sources. If not all of the information you are adding can be sourced, perhaps some subset of it can? Please keep in mind the appropriate copyediting tone and neutral point of view policies when adding prose. The previous material looked more like advertising copy or press release information, and could get the article tagged with {{advert}} or {{db-spam}}. Additions would certanly be welcomed, including perhaps photos of key founders and CEOs, CTOs, etc. Regarding the accuracy of existing information, please note any problems on the talk page and we can work together to correct them. I don't doubt that your edits were done in good faith, and I welcome your input in improving the article. Thanks and cheers. --ChrisRuvolo (t) 03:13, 5 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
