Category:National Insitute of Technology Tiruchirapalli alumni]][edit]

Hi Mgtm7m

Your proposed speedy renaming of Category:National Insitute of Technology Tiruchirapalli alumni has been stalled for 2 weeks after I objected.

As noted at WP:CFD/S, I suggest a speedy renaming to Category:National Institute of Technology Tiruchirapalli alumni as a compromise to fix the spelling error. Alternatively you may wish to open a full WP:CFD discussion to add the comma, but in my experience CFD will in most cases conclude that the category name should match the article name. --BrownHairedGirl (talk) • (contribs) 12:42, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • Hi BrownHairedGirl,
Its a OK from me. We can omit the comma for now. But please note that there are two spelling errors - one in 'Institute' and another in 'Tiruchirappalli. So the renaming should be to Category:National Institute of Technology Tiruchirappalli alumni with a double 'p' in Tiruchirappalli.
Guess I have open a discussion on main article talk page on adding the comma before opening a wp:cfd discussion for the category renaming.

Request for translation[edit]

If you know Tamil, can you please translate ta:பாமா (எழுத்தாளர்) this article for me. I am working on it on my sandbox. Thanks! Shivashree (talk) 08:19, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • I only have elementary knowledge of written tamil. I wont be able to do a proper translation. Sorry. -Mgtm7m (talk) 03:34, 17 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]
  • It's okay! I've already gotten a few English references. I only wanted to know what the Tamils themselves wrote about a Tamil dalit writer. I read Shashi Tharoor in one of his article noting that Bama was heckled by Tamils in France for exposing the problem of untouchability in France during her visit there. I just wanted to know what the native Tamils think of her...
