Article Licensing[edit]

Hi, I've started a drive to get users to multi-license all of their contributions that they've made to either (1) all U.S. state, county, and city articles or (2) all articles, using the Creative Commons Attribution-Share Alike (CC-by-sa) v1.0 and v2.0 Licenses or into the public domain if they prefer. The CC-by-sa license is a true free documentation license that is similar to Wikipedia's license, the GFDL, but it allows other projects, such as WikiTravel, to use our articles. Since you are among the top 2000 Wikipedians by edits, I was wondering if you would be willing to multi-license all of your contributions or at minimum those on the geographic articles. Over 90% of people asked have agreed. For More Information:

To allow us to track those users who muli-license their contributions, many users copy and paste the "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" template into their user page, but there are other options at Template messages/User namespace. The following examples could also copied and pasted into your user page:

Option 1
I agree to multi-license all my contributions, with the exception of my user pages, as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

OR

Option 2
I agree to multi-license all my contributions to any U.S. state, county, or city article as described below:
DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual

Or if you wanted to place your work into the public domain, you could replace "DualLicenseWithCC-BySA-Dual" with "MultiLicensePD". If you only prefer using the GFDL, I would like to know that too. Please let me know what you think at my talk page. It's important to know either way so no one keeps asking. -- Ram-Man (comment| talk)

School of Athens[edit]

tks for your observation :) --Jic 00:18, 8 Jan 2005 (UTC)

Unicode[edit]

The ones I use most frequently I keep on my user page for copy-pasting. A few specialized ones I dumped on Talk:Ashtadhyayi. If you cannot find a sample of the glyph you want, you need to search for it on http://unicode.org/charts and then enter its code manually, the first time, e.g. Ṣ for Ṣ, (and later, you can just copy-paste that). regards, dab () 13:14, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)

btw, would you be into creating such a table of cognate IE words for all IE branches? It could be a list-type article, or a huge template. See, I'm not too sure we want to give too many languages for the Tocharian table, since the point of that is mainly to compare Toch A & B, not every IE Tochtersprache. dab () 13:22, 15 Mar 2005 (UTC)

Image:Java languages.JPG[edit]

Hi! Thanks for uploading Image:Java languages.JPG. I notice it currently doesn't have an image copyright tag. Could you add one to let us know its copyright status? (You can use gfdl if you release it under the GFDL, or fairuse if you claim fair use, etc.) If you don't know what any of this means, just let me know where you got the image and I'll tag it for you. Thanks so much, – Quadell (talk) (sleuth) 17:40, Mar 19, 2005 (UTC)

Javanese language[edit]

Hey there. Thanks for all your help on this article. I just wanted to let you know that I moved the discussion to Talk:Javanese_language off of my user page. I'm sure I'll talk to you soon. Bubamara 08:35, 8 Apr 2005 (UTC)

Hi! Trey Stone has Requested Arbitration with me:

You are mentioned in evidence that I have presented and I'm bringing this to your attention. Comments and evidence of your own are welcome.

Hi again; if you're unfamiliar with the arbitration process, I'd suggest the talk pages:

Your call which, depending on what you're saying.

Hi, Thanks for your input. I'm interested in what edits of Trey Stone' you agree with on Suharto; on talk or here. Thanks. — Davenbelle 09:19, May 16, 2005 (UTC)

Hi again. I understand your point diff; I've restored all of the image edits and the like, and hope that you'll take a pass at adjusting the remaining differences. Thanks. — Davenbelle, Republic of Gilead 07:29, May 19, 2005 (UTC)

-- Viajero 14:15, 17 May 2005 (UTC)[reply]

India[edit]

Hi. Thanks for the India edits and your support. I am trying my best to make India have the most interwiki links and since Javanese wikipedia has some of the most articles, I focused on it. I also tried a Tok Posin page, but don't know if it is correct. Thanks,  =Nichalp (Talk)= 11:48, May 29, 2005 (UTC)

can u expand on the Bharatajuddha Kakawin?[edit]

Can add more info on Bharatajuddha Kakawin? --Dangerous-Boy

I'm not German or dutch.[edit]

I'm an Indian American and my main interests on wikipedia is Hinduism. I found the Bharatajuddha Kakawin mentioned on Kediri. Feel free to changed the title to the correct spelling. I just find it neat that Hinduism existed elsewhere other than India. --Dangerous-Boy

Banyumasan language and misc[edit]

I'll take a look at the Banyumasan language article, thanks. I still have to go over the last section of Javanese language. I've gotten kind of busy in my actual physical life . . . Oh, and to answer your question from long ago (April), I don't have any connection to the Javanese language, I was just trolling for articles that needed editing, and came up with that one. It was my first sizable wikipedia project.

ps. If you are ever in Oakland, California, USA, I'll buy you a beer. Bubamara 17:00, 21 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Hey. I saw your notes about factual accuracy in the Talk:Banyumasan_language page. Unfortunately, I'm relying completely on you to make it accurate. I don't know enough about the subject matter. If you'll edit for accuracy, I'll edit for language & style. . . I'll keep my eye on it - but I'm not planning to touch it until you do. Let me know if that's ok. Bubamara 07:37, 23 Jun 2005 (UTC)

Have you read my recomment in my personal page ? I have a lot of questions to ask, if you don't mind may I send it to your email adress please ? Slamet Serayu

Improving Indonesia-related articles[edit]

I've created a Regional Notice Board for Indonesia-related topics. Please review it, and post your thoughts at its Talk Page.--Daniel June 29, 2005 00:29 (UTC)

Bonjour Monsieur Etrangere, I noticed that you have contributed a few images on the Indonesian Wikipedia, especially related to Zoetmulder and Indonesian Chinese. Would you be willing to upload these images to the English Wiki for use in the English version of the articles, please? Hatur nuhun! Julius.kusuma 15:18, 27 December 2005 (UTC)[reply]

What's Wilayah in Indonesian[edit]

Wilayah doesn't mention Indonesian usage of the term. I'm pretty fuzzy on it (does it have a precise meaning, e.g. subdivision of a propinsi or just "region"?), but I'm guessing you know - maybe you could add something to this article?

Hi Dhanny Jauhar here ... I still wait for your e mail as I think I need your advice on putting an article related to INdonesia ... I am thinking to write the history why car in Indonesia is having the control in the right (right Wheel) while it is obviously known that in the Netherland (the longest country ever colonized Indonesia) all the car is having left wheel. Thanks.
