LCI and blocking[edit]

LCI users have been blocked several times before, as I recall. I don't remember specific usernames, tho. This doesn't prevent anyone from reading Wikipedia though, it only prevents editing. If it's the Wikipedia:Autoblock that's the problem, it may be fixable with an unblock of the specific IP address. See the instructions there- I (and others) would be willing to unblock the IP if you tell us what it is. Altho, this solution may only last until the next block for vandalism. Friday (talk) 19:59, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Friday, I don't believe that the LCI users have been using their own usernames i think just the IP if that is the case, shall i go to the school, find the IP write it down, bring it home and then let you know the IP?? Thanks Max.pwnage 20:02, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you try to edit, but you've been blocked by the autoblocker, the message you get is supposed to have the IP address in it. We can specifically unblock that IP address, but we have to know what it is. Friday (talk) 20:04, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Friday, Yes i know what your talking about, i'm positive its an autoblock now, everytime i click on edit this page, it comes up and shows the IP address, it may even say autoblock. I'll figure this out and let you know ASAP Max.pwnage 20:06, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

If you give me a couple minutes here i may be able to find out the IP address. Max.pwnage 20:11, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Jackpot[edit]

Hi Friday! I found the schoold ip address it is Lethbridge Collegiate Institute IPSimpler 199.216.220.2 URGENT, if you could lift the ban before tomorrow morning it would be VERY HELPFUL thanks againMax.pwnage 20:16, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I unblocked it. However I have no reason for optimism, based on past behavior from this address. As soon as we see more vandalism, someone may explicitly block the address again, or it might get autoblocked. Sorry, but I think that's the best we can do. Friday (talk) 20:24, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Wow your the greatest,highly appreciated, thanks a bunch Max.pwnage 01:19, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Peca, Pisani[edit]

I have certainly never disrespected Fernando Pisani that I recall. As a former St. Albert Saint, he's one of my favourite players. Peca I disrespected all regular season long, but there hasn't been a peep out of me on him during the playoffs for obvious reasons. Lord Bob 23:30, 22 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

That is good, Go Oilers!!! Max.pwnage 01:20, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

The Seemingly Unstoppable Oilers of Edmonton[edit]

Will, in a word, be defeated. Phoenix2 02:26, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry but i'm 100% positive that the Edmonton Oilers are up 2-0 in the Western Conference finals. Max.pwnage 02:27, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, Rexall Place will be damaged by a fire this evening and the remainder of the series will be played on the warm beaches of Long Beach, California. Phoenix2 02:36, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Yea, where the Edmonton Oilers, an amazing road team will take another 2 games straight and move onto the NHL Stanley Cup Playoff finals. Max.pwnage 02:38, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Calgary Flames[edit]

Are simply the best team in the National Hockey League, no questions asked. Phoenix2 03:52, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Don't kid yourself, the Edmonton Oilers are still in the playoffs and are whooping the Anaheim Mighty Ducks who eliminated the Flames, thats all i need to say Max.pwnage 04:01, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

You "pwn" nothing, baby. Calgary Flames for life. Phoenix2 04:03, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

O.k. if anyone hasn't noticed the Edmonton Oilers ARE STILL IN THE PLAYOFFS WHILE THE HORRID Calgary Flames are not. Case closed Max.pwnage 04:13, 23 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately, you are incorrect. The Edmonton Oilers are the second most worthless team in the National Hockey League, behind the Phoenix Coyotes. Phoenix2 16:10, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Hence the "Phoenix", exactly, and now the Edmonton Oilers are up 3-0 in the series, and have those not so "Mighty" Ducks of Anaheim in a threshold. Won't see you in the cup final Max.pwnage 16:12, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Sitting Ducks[edit]

The Anaheim Mighty Ducks are now trailing 3 games to none to the all mighty Edmonton Oilers. WIth game 4 set for May 25th/06, the Ducks are on the brink of elimination. Can they hold on?Max.pwnage 23:06, 24 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Pictures[edit]

For obvious reasons, Wikipedia does not link to images from external sites, only ones that are uploaded onto Wikipedia or Commons. If there is an image that you want to link to, you should upload it to Wikipedia. Keep in mind that there are guidelines for which images are appropriate to upload (not the least of which is copyright law), but if you can't upload an image to Wikipedia, then it's probably not appropriate for an article either. You can read more about this at Wikipedia: Images. If you have any further questions check out Wikipedia: Village Pump or Wikipedia: Help Desk or contact me using my talk. savidan(talk) (e@) 08:03, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks alot!! You are one of the few people who actually answers my n00b questions. Much appreciated Max.pwnage 21:19, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Stalker?[edit]

No. What I am is a participant in the RC Patrol, especially as it pertains to the various hockey pages. As has been explained to you, Wikipedia is not a bulletin board, a partisan forum or a blog where you can just talk about hockey; it is an encyclopedia, and all activity here (including on your talk and user pages) should be directed towards writing articles. Any other use is misuse of the system. I recommend starting with WP:RULES if you have any questions. Ravenswing 21:28, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

GRRRRRRRRRRMax.pwnage 22:22, 25 May 2006 (UTC) I'll do my best to follow WP:RULES Max.pwnage 22:41, 25 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image Tagging Image:Itunes 2.JPG[edit]

Warning sign
This media may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Itunes 2.JPG. I notice the 'image' page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you have not created this media yourself then there needs to be an argument why we have the right to use the media on Wikipedia (see copyright tagging below). If you have not created the media yourself then it needs to be specified where it was found, i.e., in most cases link to the website where it was taken from, and the terms of use for content from that page.

If the media also doesn't have a copyright tag then one should be added. If you created/took the picture, audio, or video then the {{GFDL-self}} tag can be used to release it under the GFDL. If you believe the media qualifies as fair use, consider reading fair use, and then use a tag such as {{Non-free fair use in|article name}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:Image copyright tags#Fair_use. See Wikipedia:Image copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other media, consider checking that you have specified their source and copyright tagged them, too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any unsourced and untagged images will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

There is also the problem that fair use images are only allowed for articles, see our fair use image policy. Kotepho 00:25, 31 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]
