Message from User:189.8.107.196[edit]

Hi, dear Maurice. I'm sorry I am writing it here, but I just started editing Wikis today, and only because I saw what was a blatant biased article on Wikipedia - the article on Pope Joan. I have then made some completely unbiased editions there (really neutral, just so it would look less like Catholic propaganda) and all my edits keep getting reversed by the 3 only users who apparently mod that page, which have clear personal biases regarding the Church. I saw that you edited the criticism of the Catholic Church page in Wiki and look like a very reasonable and experient Wiki user, which is what I think is needed in that page. Would you bother taking a look at that? Thank you very much and sorry if I posted this in the wrong place :D — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.8.107.196 (talk) 23:20, 23 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there. Worth checking this out in relation to your recent edit to the above. Best,  Philg88 talk 09:09, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"(...) It becomes necessary, therefore, to consider more closely the Bush administration's casus belli, America's Will to War. But it is imperative to recognize, as David Domke details, that the War on Terror was perceived by Bush as being of divine origin. Bush's Will to War, specifically, was God's will. (...)"? Wow! That's heavy stuff indeed. Thanks for the link. I didn't even know James A. Tyner and David Domke existed! But aren't they just a bunch of wp:povs? Anyway I have changed my recent edit in this one. I hope it's better than before. Cheers.   M aurice  09:48, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Sounds like a good move. God only knows what went on inside Bush's head when considering going to war(s). That's probably for the best. Cheers,  Philg88 talk 09:55, 29 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for February 18[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Smoking age, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Offense. Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

JSTOR[edit]

You should have received an email with a link to a Google form to complete - could you please either do so or email me if you did not receive it? Note that, because there are more applicants than available accounts, not responding could result in your slot being passed to a waiting editor. Nikkimaria (talk) 18:04, 9 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there User:Nikkimaria (talk), I have received the email but was in spam. I just filled it in. Thanks.   M aurice  07:04, 10 November 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. Quite old edit about "swap" and "cache"[edit]

Your edit.

Hello! I'm sorry to remind of this, but do you have references about link ("swap" and "cache"), because I have no evidence that they are related.

Some of the real terminology includes Persistence (computer science), Computer data storage, Semiconductor memory. "swap" is some non-strictly defined function in std library (in C++ for example).

If you remember something, please let us know here: Talk:Swap_(Computer_programming)#Section_about_cache Ushkin N (talk) 07:14, 28 May 2016 (UTC)[reply]
