Your submission at Articles for creation[edit]

Thank you for your recent submission to Articles for Creation. Your article submission has been reviewed. Unfortunately, it has not been accepted at this time. Please view your submission to see the comments left by the reviewer. You are welcome to edit the submission to address the issues raised, and resubmit once you feel they have been resolved.

A tag has been placed on Nimrod Allen III, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. AutomaticStrikeout 00:14, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Nimrod Allen III[edit]

Hi there, I'm a bit confused... it looks like the request for the article was denied, but it was created anyway.

If there's something that you disagree with about the deletion nomination, please feel free to comment on the page.

In the meantime, please don't remove the templates that are added to your article, they are actually a good thing: they can rally support to resolve the issues.

If you need any help with any of this, please feel free to let me know. You can respond here, and I'll see your update.--CaroleHenson (talk) 00:39, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Hi again, I'll back out in a sec after I just check that I didn't remove a valuable edit. Your best best for keeping the page is: 1) to get it to encyclopedia content - and not that of a promotional page and 2) contest the deletion of the article. The best ways to contest the deletion of the article is to remove the promotional aspects and identifying the ways in which Nimrod is notable for an article. (See: Wikipedia:Notability). You may want to take a look at the kind of edits that I made to get a sense of what to do to correct this article - and for future articles. Again, I'm happy to help.--CaroleHenson (talk) 00:58, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Help is appreciated and realized. The sarcasm and presumptive comments not so much. What can be frustrating for beginners is when Wiki pros presume others are as proficient as them. This area was just located. I have been falling into areas being edited and copied them.

Uncertain about denial as denial was contested and changes made several times. Not to mention when edits are being made without allowing time for corrections; this has occurred several times. One cannot maneuver an area as well as others who spend days on end doing so.

Presumption of promotion does not make it promotional; it is hard to identify subjective commentary.

Maybe people with a bit more patience should be allowed to assist/help over those without. More then open to assistance as long as it comes absent of judgement and presumption of malice intent. This is difficult enough.

Efforts probably are better received when one is NOT exhausted either. lol Thanks for understanding and future aid in advance! ;o) Mauresent (talk)

Yep, I understand. My first article was deleted - and I've had the same kinds of experiences. There's some of us that have an automated editor that finds common issues - and one setting is "new articles" - generally where the most help is needed. I also understand that some of the concepts around Wikipedia guidelines are difficult to handle. I'll leave you alone and check back tomorrow. If you'd like any help from me in the meantime, let me know.--CaroleHenson (talk) 02:41, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

The automated editor seems like something I could benefit from. Where would I locate that. I made several more corrections last nite.

You are eligible to register for the Wikipedia:AutoWikiBrowser after you have made 500 edits. I'll take a look at your edits.--CaroleHenson (talk) 15:55, 7 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Error in page move[edit]

I'm not sure what you were trying to do when you moved Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Nimrod Allen III] to User:Revision template, but I have fixed it and put the deletion discussion back at Articles for Deletion, where it belongs. There's no reason that you would need to move a deletion discussion that I can think of. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 16:28, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I've also restored the article to article space; I'm not sure why you tried to create User:Nimrod Allen III, but no user by that name is registered at Wikipedia. -FisherQueen · contribs) 16:34, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion of User Mauresent response[edit]

I am uncertain why it is allowable for my responses to be deleted. REPOST: I was not trying to make a new user I was RENAMING the item. When I moved the discussion I thought I was moving the article, then couldnt figure out how to move the discussion back. I am trying to move the article I created so I can edit without edits from others who have no verifiable knowledge of the subject.

The article as previously stated prior to comment deletions, was placed mistakenly in the notable tab. This is not the only site I am maintaining; I am unfamiliar with the inner workings. I am doing what I can when I can how I can.

I cannot emphasize enough how I truly appreciate those who are helping me out!!

There were refs I have to place in the article but cant figure out how to. I am also looking into Teahouse, some one suggested but again, I cannot not utilize if my progress is repeatedly impeded. (I cannot always correct immediately)

Viable assistance is truly appreciated and utilized Vs. unwarranted user editorializing, presumptions of actions & comment deletions.

Kudos and many thanks to those who are helping with patience over presumptive ridicule! Mauresent talk

I am sorry that you're having a difficult time - it does take a bit of time to get used to because it's an encyclopedia site and as such as guidelines for publishable material. You might think of it along the same lines of the type of guidelines needed for a published newspaper or journal article.
There was someone (I forget now who) who spent time getting the article into shape to make it more likely to be accepted - and I spent time finding all the reliable sources that I could. I hope that with a bit of time that instead of curtailing your activities we were just trying to get the article into shape so that it would be more likely to pass through speedy deletion.
If there's something that I can do, as I've said, I'm happy to help out.--CaroleHenson (talk) 18:01, 8 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

August 2012[edit]

Hello, I'm America69. I wanted to let you know that I undid one of your recent contributions, such as the one you made to United States Senate election in Wisconsin, 2012, because it didn't appear constructive. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Please stop adding un-needed material, such as here: [1]. Your editing pattern makes this appear to be a single purpose account, so please watch for a fine line in your editing, there may be a conflict of interest. Please read here: [2]. Thank you! August 18 2012[edit]

Mauresent (talk) 22:13, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I am uncertain how you define constructive. If including a 3rd party candidate is not constructive then it would appear to me the bias is not on my inclusion but your lack there of. Please refrain from deleting viable additions on the page which clearly states United States Senate election in Wisconsin, 2012 if you are not going to include ALL the candidates on the November ballot. Your deletions appear to be of the very conflict of interest you reference and may need to review on your own. Moreover, as the page appears to have references leaning heavily to the left maybe you should have someone else take over who clearly represents a balance Vs a bias. Please refrain from deleting qualified information solely based on personal bias and preference. FYI your talk page says you are semi retired and not to leave a message.

Mauresent (talk) 22:13, 18 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I have no biases, my edits are to keep things simple and concrete, the purpose of an encyclopedia. The bias lies with you; your editing history is completely based around the promotion of one person, so there is a clear conflict-of-interest here. America69 (talk) 01:20, 20 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Wikipedia talk:Articles for creation/Nimrod Allen, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G4 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be a repost of material that was previously deleted following a deletion debate, such as at articles for deletion. Under the specified criteria, where an article has substantially identical content to that of an article deleted after debate, and any changes in the content do not address the reasons for which the material was previously deleted, it may be deleted at any time.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. Rankersbo (talk) 14:46, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

OK, standard text aside, it appears that this was the declined first draft that was still hanging around, rather than a "recreation". Apologies if that makes the text above confusing, this is just admin and tidying up of wikipedia. Rankersbo (talk) 14:53, 3 October 2013 (UTC)[reply]

File permission problem with File:Nimrod Allen III Independent Candidate for US Senate Wisconsin.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Nimrod Allen III Independent Candidate for US Senate Wisconsin.jpg. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. B (talk) 22:19, 16 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]
