Sources for non-free files you upload

Hi Maladvipa. You're going to have to provide a more specific source than "The Internet" for non-free files such as File:Business Network - Aggregations.png and File:Business Network - Associations.png as explained in WP:NFCC#10a or the files might be deleted per WP:F4. If you found these files somewhere online, then please provide the url for the website you found them at. If you found them in some publication like a book or magazine, scanned them and then uploaded them, please provide as much information about the source publication (see WP:CITEHOW for an example of what information is typically needed). Non-free content needs to be verified as being published per WP:NFCC#4 so that it's copyright status can be properly assessed.

There is also another issue with these files related to WP:FREER. Simple tables/graphs of textual content is typically not considered eligible for copyright protection since in many cases the same information can be re-created as a free equivalent. That looks to be the case here as well, so a non-free image might not be acceptable even if a proper sources is provided per WP:NFCC#1. -- Marchjuly (talk) 01:20, 5 November 2018 (UTC)

Hi Marchjuly, I updated the 'immediate source' details for both the images. As per your second comment, we have recreated the images. So, I'm not sure if a source needs to be mentioned or not.

Thanks for adding the source links, but a file started to download onto my computer when I clicked on one to verify it. This could just be something with my settings, but ideally I don't think it's a good idea for someone to have to download a file to verify the source of another file. It would be better for links to provide which simply take you a website, etc. where the file can be seen and copyright status can be verified. As to the other question about FREER, I'm still not sure why this particular file needs to be used if the information contained therein can be also be explained using just text or a free equivalent image. Non-free images such as these are generally needed when the image itself is the subject of sourced critical commentary within the article; it such cases, it's considered helpful if the reader actually see the image being discussed. Business network, however, looks like a general article discussing the concept and such article don't typically required non-free images to illustrate general concepts or ideas. -- Marchjuly (talk) 07:16, 13 November 2018 (UTC)
