I was astounded when I saw your revert, then I went back and read the subst'ed text of {{prod}}. A few months back, it used to require the spammer to add {{hangon}}, but now encourages the spammer to delete {{prod}} without any accountability. Shame on me for trying to follow an outdated process. Let the spamming begin! -- DanielPenfield (talk) 12:58, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

deletion tag for buzztard

hi, thanks for notifying me about the deletion tag on my talk page. Do you have any specific pointers. I will happily improve the article. Ensonic (talk) 18:30, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Hello yet again. I regretfully inform you that the bot we were using to update the user status at Wikipedia:Highly Active Users, SoxBot V, was blocked for its constant updating. With this bot out of operation, a patch is in the works. Until that patch is reviewed and accepted by the developers, some options have been presented to use as workarounds: 1) Qui monobook (not available in Internet Explorer); 2) User:Hersfold/StatusTemplate; 3) Manually updating User:StatusBot/Status/USERNAME; or 4) Not worry about it and wait for the patch to go through, which hopefully won't take long. If you have another method, you can use that, too. If you have any questions, feel free to contact me. Useight (talk) 22:23, 3 June 2008 (UTC)

Deletion This category is a speedy delete candidate as it was emptied per a CfD; that is exactly why I didn't use {{db-empty}}. -Justin (koavf)TCM☯ 08:35, 10 June 2008 (UTC)

More Wikzilla Socks

Hello seeing as how you were involved with the recent Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/Wikzilla I believe you are in a position to deal with a new account that has emerged :Drlima (talk · contribs · deleted contribs · logs · filter log · block user · block log) Asides from editing exactly the same revision that previous WZ socks have used he has made no attempt at concealing his identity [1] as such a check user is most likely unnecessary. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Freepsbane (talkcontribs)

Done obvious indeed, no need to RFCU for that one... -- lucasbfr talk 06:28, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Comment from my page

Original message for future ref

Thank you for your comments, the said user:demolitionman was deleted yesterday as he was indefinatly blocked. I just assumed if a user was blocked and then started the same old vandal edits re-useing just a ip address this would be stopped. --Rockybiggs (talk) 12:04, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Please see deletion log [2] second down on list. --Rockybiggs (talk) 12:09, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Ow, that's User:DemolitionMan, which does exist (usernames are unfortunately case sensitives) -- lucasbfr talk 15:46, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
User:DemolitionMan seems to be using both of these ip address to make the same vandal edits IP 121.243.204.78 and IP 124.124.0.1, is there anyway to see if this is the same user to ensure these ip address are blocked too. Please note Talk page has been restord User talk:DemolitionMan --Rockybiggs (talk) 18:48, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Cordialement --Great11 (talk) 16:26, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

I'm not going to worry about having an image there or not on the tin toys page. My boss runs a tin toys website and information on them is very sparse so he wanted me to write the article and then reference his site as where I got the info from in order for people to find it. I kind of feel like I'm bastardizing Wikipedia but I mean, it's all relevant information that wasn't on here before so I guess it's alright.

Also, I wanted to know if I could change the article to "Tin Toy" which would be more correct? There's already an article for tin toy which is about an old Pixar movie so I'm not sure what to do about that. SkreeHunter (talk) 18:16, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

Image:YuanLongping.jpg

Not a big problem just interested why you removed the CSD I9 notice I placed on Image:YuanLongping.jpg as not valid. MilborneOne (talk) 20:27, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

The uploader asserted the image was CC-by-sa, which is not the first choice when you fake a license. I gave it the benefit of the doubt :) -- lucasbfr talk 20:43, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Thanks I was responding to Wikipedia:Possibly unfree images/2008 June 9 where I had agreed after checking that the website was marked All Rights Reserved and marked as appropriate. No problem I should have refered to the PUI page in the edit summary. MilborneOne (talk) 20:48, 11 June 2008 (UTC)
Gone :) Note that even with the edit summary most admins would have missed it ;). In that case, I'd say remove the license and tag it being an invalid FU. I agree this is not optimal though... -- lucasbfr talk 21:10, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

J.A.Comment

Evidence is now OK or something different is needed in this Wikipedia:Requests for checkuser/Case/J. A. Comment case ?--Rjecina (talk) 00:14, 11 June 2008 (UTC)

I have called Lar for this case because he has worked earlier with this user so he is having old data for better check.--Rjecina (talk) 16:00, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

connexion

Merci

--Great11 (talk) 17:34, 12 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi Lucasbfr. Thanks for letting me know. I apologise for not being more specific when I made the proxy block - I usually make some note, but I probably didn't have the details to hand at the time. This proxy remains open, through http://anonymousatwork.com http://access2myspace.com and several other domains. "illegal block" lol. You've been had. -- zzuuzz (talk) 09:04, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

My Unblock

Thank you for lifting my block. As far as abiding by Wikipedia's principles, as you pointed out, I still don't understand why I was blocked in the firstplace. The jargon here is not written for everyone; it's not as easy to understand as some might think. Bottom line, if a reason was given in plain English, I might understand. It seems I was blocked as a result of all activity on a specific page, which is a bit ridiculous in my opinion. But like I said, the explination given was more along the lines of a multiple choice question, so I still don't get it. Perhaps some humility and a bit better judgement by those in charge of making those decisions might be in order as well. Not even Wikipedia administrators are above making mistakes or being on the wrong side of a decision, wouldn't you agree? J-Dog (talk) 13:06, 15 June 2008 (UTC)

Hi, someone is complaining about this picture, they claim that you took and uploaded it without their authorization. Can you please contact me ASAP to clarify the matter, if you remember where it comes from. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously, and I would like to remind you that by uploading pictures, you are engaging your own legal responsibility. Thanks. -- lucasbfr talk 23:07, 14 June 2008 (UTC) Retrieved from "http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/User_talk:Buron444"

After reviewing my files, I can not maintain that this picture is from my authorship. So, I must admit that this person is probably rigth, or at least he could be.

I apologize both to him and to Wikipedia. Buron444 (talk) 21:35, 15 June 2008 (UTC)Buron444

Check "what links here" before you delete

On 30 May 2008 you deleted the redirect "Miller Park (disambiguation)", but several articles had links to that page. It would have been best just to leave the redirect in existence. Or failing that, you should have relinked all those pages. I've done it myself, now. --Dr Greg (talk) 17:18, 20 June 2008 (UTC)

Heh, nope, right call. Hmm...Surprised I didn't spot that! We all make mistakes sometimes. :) Apologies and thanks, PeterSymonds (talk) 20:20, 22 June 2008 (UTC)

Care to explain this

[3]

It is confusing, since it is linked from many sites, and it seems that the article existed for several years with no problems. So why wipe it? It makes the other related articles look rather silly.

Furthermore, can you explain this? [4]. The talk page was wiped 2 years before you decided to wipe the main page. Please restore it. I am sure that whatever was there was very useful to discussion of talkers.

No worries. I see what happened. Someone took it upon themselves to wipe about 100 articles, but avoided the AFD process by putting stickers on them and hoping that some admin would jump up and wipe them. I have taken the stickers off all but Dracosia as I don't think that there is any merit to them at all. If they are to be wiped, take them to AFD. Please relist this one, and if needed take it to AFD.

How do I know? I don't know what it had in it. I do however know that that talker was an essential part of talker history, and that whatever was on there was important to discussion of the topic. Please can you restore it and then list it on AFD if you feel strongly about it. PROD is meant to be used for NEW articles, not for articles that had existed for several years already with nobody having any problem whatsoever to their existence.
