Welcome[edit]

Hi Lshea96, and welcome to Wikipedia! I've written some advice on editing here for students in Prof. Jackson's similar classes at Longy School of Music which you might find helpful. You'll find it here. If you need help, check out Wikipedia:Questions, ask me on my talk page (User talk:Voceditenore), or place {{helpme}} here on your talk page, ask your question, and another editor will come along to help. When you leave a message here or on any other talk page, be sure to sign it by typing ~~~~ (4 tildes with no spaces between them) at the end. When you click save, the Wikipedia software will automatically convert that show your user name and your talk page (with links to them) as well as the date and time when you signed. WP:SIGN has more about all the ins and outs of that.

You might also be interested in WikiProject Classical music and WikiProject Composers. They have various guidelines for articles in this area and talk pages where you can ask advice from editors experienced in writing articles on classical music and related subjects. You'll find these guides particularly useful: WikiProject Composers: Guide to online research and WikiProject Composers: Copyright guidelines. Happy editing and best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 08:24, 24 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Henrik Linder[edit]

Hi Lshea96, I had a look at your sandbox, and you've done really well so far. I've made a few minor changes to bring it in line with the Wikipedia Manual of Style and fixed one link to his music college. The references tend to be interviews and pages closely associated with subject, which might cause some notability concerns. I suggest using some of these sources too:

WP:MUSICBIO lays out the notability criteria. Best wishes, Voceditenore (talk) 16:58, 26 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Me again. The last article above is in Swedish, but you can get a pretty good rough translation using Google Translate. The English translation of the title is: "Henrik of Dirty Loops has a fingertip feeling for bass.". Best, Voceditenore (talk) 05:28, 27 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Lshea96. I had a feeling this might happen. Per WP:MUSICBIO, pages for members of notable bands are normally redirected to the band's article, not given individual articles, unless they have demonstrated individual notability for activity independent of the band. I don't think there's enough out there to support individual nobility in this case. I suggest, you add the material on Linder to the "Members" section of Dirty Loops, and perhaps try to flesh out biographical material on the other two members as well. It would greatly improve that article. Then Henrik Linder can be created as redirect page to Dirty Loops. Best, Voceditenore (talk) 18:01, 30 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
