Category edits[edit]

Hello, I have undone all of your recent category-related edits, because they are overcategorisation. Category:Xhosa-speaking peoples is for tribes, clans or groups who speak Xhosa, not for individual people; similarly Category:Lists of South African people is for lists of people from South Africa, not for individuals. Also you should not add Category:Xhosa people (or any other similar category) to an article if the article text doesn't support the categorization – preferably with a reliable published source. I also deleted Category:Lists of South African Tribes because that is not a proper use of a category. See Wikipedia:Categorization; categories can be very difficult to understand, even for experienced editors. Graham87 06:04, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Similarly, the article Sinenjongo High School is in Category:Schools in Cape Town, so it does not need to be included in Category:Schools in the Western Cape or Category:Schools in South Africa, because the Cape Town category is already in the Western Cape category which in turn is in the South Africa category. - htonl (talk) 09:01, 30 September 2013 (UTC)[reply]
