November 2017[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Jackfork. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Alicia Vikander, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thank you. Alicia Vikander[edit]

Michael Fassbender[edit]

There’s been a recent edit on this locked page to include unsubstantiated allegations with the only citations being gossip sites TMZ and Lainey Gossip.

“In 2010, Fassbender's ex-girlfriend filed charges for a restraining order against the actor. According to the document, on one occassion after a night of drinking Fassbender "threw [her] over a chair breaking [her] nose.[65]" On another occasion, Fassbender allegedly “dragged her alongside their car, hurting her ankle and bursting an ovarian cyst.[66]" A month later, she withdrew the claim.”

Can this section be removed please? Londoneyes (talk) 09:19, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Removed the ankle line due to questionable source. However, the other is from TMZ which isn't. Jackfork (talk) 14:57, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Fassbender[edit]

Is TMZ really considered a reliable source?

Anyway, these allegations were swiftly withdrawn after they were investigated by the police and they found no evidence or case to answer. None of this is reflected in the Wiki entry, nor the fact that the alleged incident took place 10 months earlier than the time the allegations were made, and there was photographic evidence of no injuries whatsoever on Ms Andrews. Furthermore she has a history of making allegations against exes which she subsequently drops, very cunning way to fling dirt. The Wiki entry as it stands is misrepresentative.

Again, I’m amazed that TMZ is considered a reputable source - it peddles gossip and speculation. Londoneyes (talk) 15:31, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Michael Fassbender[edit]

Following on from my previous message - re TMZ - if you read it’s article re the allegations it reads “a source said”.... how is this reliable? Londoneyes (talk) 15:37, 11 November 2017 (UTC)[reply]
