Thanks

Hey!

Thanks for this report to AIV. Good catch! I watch the X Factor etc so I'll add the user to my (rather long!) list of talk pages to watch in case they start up again.

Oh and Happy New Year to you!--5 albert square (talk) 17:53, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

@5 albert square: Oh, it's no problem! That user has been doing that repeatedly, and it's becoming quite tiresome. And HNY to you, as well! livelikemusic talk! 20:59, 1 January 2016 (UTC)

Nina Clay

Hi there. I initially reverted the page that Diankanika had remade because it was too short. Had I known it was copied from your sandbox, I would have reverted that as well. - Kiraroshi1976 (talk) 23:35, 5 January 2016 (UTC)

@Kiraroshi1976: It's alright; it is not the first time this user has done this. They've done it multiple times before, even at Hayden Barnes. I've reported them as a vandalism-only account. livelikemusic talk! 23:46, 5 January 2016 (UTC)

Radar Online reference

Hello! I saw your edit on Rita Ora's article regarding the addition of Radar Online reference. I was actually aware that this particular tabloid site is highly untrustworhy, but the reason I decided to add it is because they were the only ones who uploaded the integral copy of the complaint. Usually, The Hollywood Reporter does it, but in this case, they failed to do so. The document shows that the lawsuit actually consists of two parts, declaratory relief and breach of contract, which THR failed to mention in their exclusive (I believe they were the first to report this story). All the other media reports are mostly based on their initial article ([1]). Considering it is RadarOnline, maybe it's best we leave it out? --Helptottt (talk) 17:03, 13 January 2016 (UTC)

Oh, and another thing. Technically, it's not really an article, it's just uploaded content from the Supreme Court of California, a copy of the original complaint (which happens to be on their site). --Helptottt (talk) 17:09, 13 January 2016 (UTC)

Question Relating to WikiProject Soap Opera

Hey! For the past several days, I have worked to substantially revise the page for Liz Sanbourne and I was wondering if you could possibly look it over for me to make sure that I have done everything correctly. Even though you do not identify Passions as one of your interests in the WikiProject, I was wondering if you could assess the page's development. Aoba47 (talk) 21:42, 18 January 2016 (UTC)

@Aoba47: So, I took a look, and you did a great job at expanding it, especially from where it was before you began. I meant mention you should avoid using YouTube as your sole source, especially since storyline sections do not require sourcing, as the show itself is a source on its own. I recommend looking through archives and news websites to try and find informaiton, especially about casting and character development. Also, when it ultimately comes to sourcing, you should use full-syntax with dates. Also, while it isn't necessary, US soaps more commonly put casting and character development sections before storyline ones — which generally shouldn't be split up into sub-sections of anything aside from years. But ultimately, it is up to your discretion. livelikemusic talk! 02:22, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
Thank you for your quick response. I based the structure of the page around two featured articles Sadie Harris and Pauline Fowler as I have never worked on a page about a fictional character before doing this. I wanted to copy the way episodes were cited as support for the storyline in the Sadie Harris page, but I do admit that I went overboard with everything so I will probably end up taking them out completely. I based my decision to break apart the storylines section into smaller subsections loosely around what was done on the page Pauline Fowler as I wanted to make everything accessible and easily identifiable to a first-time reader, but I can remove them if they are too much of a distraction. Thank you for call attention to the dates in the sourcing as that is probably my weakest area when editing.
Thank you again for your help! I am hoping to get this page ready for a GAN in the future (I have already requested a copy edit for it) and maybe even a feature article though I am probably being too ambitious with that last part. Aoba47 (talk) 03:24, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
@Aoba47: Anytime! When editing, if you have the option, open the "Cite" tab and under "Templates" it gives you all of the citation templates, etc. And all you do is input all of the data. Also, while it's great to take note from British soap articles and primetime dramas, American soaps are not as easily accessible or cited in the press, so they sort of have to be setup a bit differently from the rest. You've done good work thus far, like I said, just work on searching through archives and news articles for citations, so it meets the general notability guideline. A fictional character article should hold real-world context. I would recommend looking at articles like Sharon and Victoria Newman, both of which were reestablished in recent years and are great examples of quality soap articles. Also, no need to ping me on my own talkpage; I get alerts from the website automatically! livelikemusic talk! 03:35, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
I had no idea that you could do that! I was trying to do all the citations manually so that makes things a lot easier for me. Thank you for giving me examples as I always find it helpful to have examples to model my work after and those two pages really let me see the formatting for American soaps as opposed to other types of shows. When I have more time, I will try my best to find more sources for the real-world context. It might take me some time as the character appeared almost ten years ago, but I am sure I can find something in the archives. Sorry about pinging you. Maybe one day, I'll actually use this site properly for once. Aoba47 (talk) 04:04, 19 January 2016 (UTC)
Hello! I just wanted to let you know that I have updated the article to include the real-world context of the character, which in this case is about how the actor identifies the character as expanding the representation of African-Americans on television and the roles for African-American actors. Thank you again for your help. Aoba47 (talk) 23:29, 19 January 2016 (UTC)

Vandalize?

What exactly did I vandalize? You always do that to me when I update the Days cast page with actual references it seems, for example, everything I recently added to the page is still there. So why always the warnings? I really can't see any thing else. If I'm missing something, then I'm sorry, but it just doesn't make any sense to me. SJJM4EVER (talk) 08:00, 1 February 2016 (UTC)

Hi! Do you know to fix this for me? I've been trying to figure it out for awhile but, charts and stuff give me a headache. Basically: the extra line. It looks like Albert and Cora had three kids but, one is invisible or something? Lol - Thanks in advance if you can! :-) Cebr1979 (talk) 01:10, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

@Cebr1979: I know shit about family trees; the coding pisses me off but, somehow, I was able to figure it out! livelikemusic talk! 02:22, 14 February 2016 (UTC)

Lulu Spencer Falconeri or Lulu Falconeri

Wouldn't it be Spencer Falconeri cause that's what she went by while married? 67.3.84.51 (talk) 23:06, 15 February 2016 (UTC)

Mistakes

Hey longtime no talk! I took a long break from Wikipedia since I was extremlely busy! But how are you? What do you think of soaps right now? Stop watching Y&R for a longtime right now. Disappointed in B&B but loving both GH and DAYS. I created a page today: Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Special Guest Performer in a Drama Series and I was wondering if you have any time just to check it out? To correct any grammar mistakes I may have made and maybe even include some proper english for me? If you can not do it, I understand, but if you could that would be awesome and greatly appreciated! Anyways, have a nice day!!!  — JJakathestrength (talk, contribs) 22:17, 16 February 2016 (UTC)

Uh oh

So, I wanted to point something out to you. After our discussion on Talk:This Is What the Truth Feels Like, I noticed something made by the IP address, 156.12.253.137; the user left this comment after reverting your edit: "This is used on every other album page. Livelikemusic is know[n] for edit-warring, and needs to stop." I don't know about you, but this sounds like another sockpuppet of Smoore95GAGA and Katycat3567. Am I paranoid? Or just sane? Whatever the case, this IP address who hasn't edited any article since recently, really doesn't seem to like you. Lemme know your thoughts and have a good day. :) , Carbrera (talk) 00:02, 1 March 2016 (UTC).

@Carbrera: Definitely seems like the same sock, who yes, does not like me because I continue to find them out and continue to get them off this website for clearly breaking Wikipedia policy. Their continued personal-talk and inability to accept the website's decision against them is alarming. livelikemusic talk! 02:17, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
Definitely, this is very alarming. Thankfully he/she hasn't edited anything since my message. I'm keeping my eye on the IP for now. Thanks; good to know I'm not going crazy! Carbrera (talk) 03:10, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: If you are doing crazy, then I am, too. Seems like a serious case of if it smells like a duck.... livelikemusic talk! 03:11, 3 March 2016 (UTC)
A very similar IP address (same state, checked IP, etc.) has been harassing me and reverting several edits on Gwen Stefani-related articles. I think I'm gonna go ahead with a report, similarly to what I did with Katycat. This is truly unbelievable; the fact that some user continually tries to put us down and doesn't understand or process any of the warnings he/she has been given. Ugh. Carbrera (talk) 22:29, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: I will definitely make sure to check things out! Thank you for keeping me in the loop! livelikemusic talk! 23:18, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
User:Snugglebear123 just admitted to being a sockpuppet. Check it out: Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents. Carbrera (talk) 23:18, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: Absolutely pitiful. Go to the sock investigations page, which is where it technically should've been taken, and post the proof of their own admission; Admins there will issue another block, when their focus should be on bigger issues, etc. livelikemusic talk! 23:22, 8 March 2016 (UTC)
I just left an update on the case page if you wanna take a glance. Carbrera (talk) 00:43, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: I did the same; they're clearly unable to handle themselves in the proper manner, and this is going to become very problematic. livelikemusic talk! 00:44, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
Oh God. If anyone deserves a barnstar it's you! We're a good team haha! However, in terms of the Gwen-related articles, I'm really unsure on what to believe. Some of the sources I've seen say "buzz-single", while others say "third single". I really don't know what to believe! I think I'm gonna ask for semi protection on the pages until further confirmation; this is really confusing to me. Once again, thanks so much for the barnstar! I appreciate it! Carbrera (talk) 00:50, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: Part of me feels like it's a buzz single, especially given that the buzz and attention is still very much on "Make Me Like You" right now. I'd say, to be safe, wait for a more definite announcement from Interscope Records for a digital release or a radio release, etc. And puh-leese! It's takes a village to keep Wikipedia safe; And it's comforting knowing that more are aware of this user's problematic behaivor and will be on the lookout for similar behaviors. livelikemusic talk! 00:53, 10 March 2016 (UTC)
Here's a link to the newest sock: Check it out and see if my beliefs are in fact true. Thanks. Carbrera (talk) 06:31, 13 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: Absolutely sad; I was hoping there'd be a reason for a CBAN on them, but I guess that is not going to happen. And to come after you and I for doing nothing wrong? SMFH. livelikemusic talk! 13:02, 14 March 2016 (UTC)
There's this new user who has been reverting several of my edits on Misery (Gwen Stefani song). Do you think User:Somethin101 is another sock? I'm still not 100% sure of whether or not he/she is related to this mess. Thanks. Carbrera (talk) 20:50, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: Seems like it is; I'd report it just for the sake of making sure it does not spiral out of control. Hahahahaha354 seems to be another one. Oh Lord. livelikemusic talk! 22:14, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
I reported it. I starred the page so let's see what happens next. Is there anyway we can ban the IP address from even making accounts in the first place? Carbrera (talk) 22:35, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: Would be pointless; they're IP-hopping. livelikemusic talk! 22:37, 16 March 2016 (UTC)
Are you thinking what I'm thinking? Carbrera (talk) 00:17, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: Maybe? livelikemusic talk! 00:18, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
About the edit you just thanked me for on TIWTTFL? ... He's back. Carbrera (talk) 00:19, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: Potentially; though, a Check User would've picked up on it, no? livelikemusic talk! 00:20, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
Yeah, I guess. I didn't check when he made his account. However, this user's been editing the same pages. I'm gonna keep an eye on him for now. Perhaps I am paranoid? Don't judge haha! Carbrera (talk) 00:22, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: I don't think it's paranoid; it's just being cautious. I would be the same way. It's unfortunate that some have caused us to be this way. livelikemusic talk! 00:23, 18 March 2016 (UTC)\
I do expect the sock to be at it again very soon though. I mean, with Gwen's album due out tonight, I'm sure the sock will be at its finest tomorrow. Carbrera (talk) 00:24, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: Plus, they've admitted, on multiple occasions, they'll be coming back. livelikemusic talk! 00:28, 18 March 2016 (UTC)
Turns out I was right: [2] Carbrera (talk) 01:23, 19 March 2016 (UTC)
What in the heck is wrong with this user? The newest one is NickJonasLover365. Carbrera (talk) 02:29, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

@Carbrera: I'm kind of over the continued sock-puppetry. The numbers in their name alone make me question if they are or not. livelikemusic talk! 02:35, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

Oh, I'm sorry! I guess it does get tiring after awhile, but I thought I'd let you know because they talked about dogtagging you earlier for some reason. Carbrera (talk) 02:37, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: Oh no, don't take that as a negative; I mean it more-so on the part of SmooreGaga, not you! livelikemusic talk! 02:42, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
Oh no. I didn't take that as negative, I just thought you meant that as "Ugh, really? Please leave me outta it". I'm not offended or anything-you're fine! He just became blocked and called you an "awful person" again. What else is new? Carbrera (talk) 02:44, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: Is judging me because of the fact they're unable to handle the fact they've continued to break multiple Wiki-policy makes them feel better as a person, then go ahead. I've been called worse — both online and to my face directly — and some Wiki troll is not the worst I have battled. livelikemusic talk! 02:46, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
Agreed. The sock always seems to kinda talk down to me (probably because my age is on my profile), but it doesn't bother me because he's saying it out of stupidity. Can't wait to block him again tomorrow. :) Carbrera (talk) 02:52, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
Who's Cabrera? I only know a Carbrera... The stupidity blows my mind. Carbrera (talk) 03:12, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: Is BBTalk123 another one do you think? livelikemusic talk! 14:09, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
Yes I do. I noticed that user yesterday but they went away during the time that NickJonasFan was active, Carbrera (talk) 15:59, 26 March 2016 (UTC)
@Carbrera: Looking at their edit-history, it's apparent to me they are a sock. livelikemusic talk! 16:00, 26 March 2016 (UTC)

Quinn

Hey again. I think Quinn deserves her own page by now. She has so much storylines and her summary doesn't even have A. Quinn pushing Ivy in Paris amongst her other crimes there B. Hope's marriage to Wyatt nor C. Hope's miscarriage. She's already been around for 3 years and has so many storylines.--Coolfan5 (talk) 01:38, 1 April 2016 (UTC)Coolfan5.

@Coolfan5: Her sub-page at the 2013 characters page is not enough alone for her to warrant a page of its own. Hope's miscarriage and marriage to Wyatt are not pertinent information to Quinn as a character; those fit more into Hope or Wyatt's storyline, not Quinn. She'd also need to meet the general notability guideline, as drafted by the Soap Opera WikiProject. Real-world prospective is required for a standalone article, and honestly, I do not see how Quinn has met the criteria, aside from her being portrayed by Rena Sofer. livelikemusic talk! 01:43, 1 April 2016 (UTC)
