Image copyright problem with Image:B2B.png

Thanks for uploading Image:B2B.png. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright informaton for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Thank you for experimenting with Wikipedia. Your test worked, and the page that you created has been or soon will be deleted. Please use the sandbox for any other tests you want to do. Take a look at the welcome page if you would like to learn more about contributing to our encyclopedia.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Image:B2B.png listed for deletion

An image or media file that you uploaded, Image:B2B.png, has been listed at Wikipedia:Images and media for deletion. Please look there to see why this is (you may have to search for the title of the image to find its entry), if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you.

Also, please do not upload fake album covers. Thanks. Extraordinary Machine 21:45, 17 June 2006 (UTC)

License tagging for Image:SFIS2.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:SFIS2.jpg. Wikipedia gets hundreds of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

Vandalism?

Please refrain from adding nonsense to Wikipedia, as you did to Paris Hilton. It is considered vandalism. If you would like to experiment, use the sandbox. --Yamla 23:34, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Please stop. If you continue to vandalize pages, as you did to Paris Hilton, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. --Yamla 22:53, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

Fair use

Detailed fair-use rationales are not optional for copyrighted images. You forgot to add a detailed fair-use rationale for Image:Parishiltoncover.jpg and possibly other images you have uploaded. Please do not upload any more images until you have corrected all the ones you have uploaded so far. Thank you. --Yamla 23:35, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

You said: "How did vadilize the Paris Hilton page. I added her album cover. How is that vandilizim plus the info for the Paris album cover is all true."

Did you even look at the preview? And the information on the image page is missing the detailed fair-use rationale. --Yamla 23:42, 7 July 2006 (UTC)

Paris release date

On the PARIS page, you have the 7th as the Release date in the USA but that is a monday. CDs are released on Tuesdays in the USA. Please check your sources. Even websites say it will be released on the 8th of August in the USA.

The provided citation clearly shows a release date of the 7th. Please check WP:CITE and WP:V. --Yamla 23:07, 13 July 2006 (UTC)
You said: "But that's the thing. THE USA RELEASE DATE, THE OFFICIAL RELEASE DATE IS TUESDAY, AUGUST 8TH, 2006 NOT THAT 7TH AND YOU SHOULD MAKE IT THAT WAY. USA NEVER RELEASES ALBUMS ON MONDAYS!!"
You are confused. Please reread WP:V. The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth. Please provide an alternate citation if you disagree. Otherwise, the date of the 7th must stay. --Yamla 23:12, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

You said: "I am not confused at all. Paris Hilton's album WILL be released on the 8th of August in the USA. Please change the date to the 8th please and this argument will end." — Preceding unsigned comment added by Musicfreak7676 (talkcontribs)

Yet again, I direct you to WP:V. Until you can provide a better citation than is listed, the date must stay. Because you keep on missing it, please read WP:V and WP:CITE. Also, please sign your comments. I can explain how if you do not understand. --Yamla 23:21, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

You said: "If I can someone provide sources that say the album will drop on the 8th, will you change the date?" — Preceding unsigned comment added by Musicfreak7676 (talkcontribs)

Yes, the information can be changed with a reliable citation, as I have mentioned several times already. And please sign your posts. --Yamla 23:24, 13 July 2006 (UTC)

You said: "Parisfan.org has reported the release date of August 8th."

Please reread WP:RS, a fansite is not a reliable source. --Yamla 00:52, 14 July 2006 (UTC)

Fair use rationale for Image:Ciaraevolutionnq3.jpg

Warning sign This file may be deleted.

Thanks for uploading Image:Ciaraevolutionnq3.jpg. I notice the 'image' page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. When you use a generic fair use tag such as {{fair use}} or {{fair use in|article name}}, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.

Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Yamla 23:48, 30 October 2006 (UTC)

Orphaned fair use image (Image:67d49b24-b099-4a7a-bd17-a332ec02081e.jpg)

Thanks for uploading Image:67d49b24-b099-4a7a-bd17-a332ec02081e.jpg. I notice the 'image' page currently specifies that the image is unlicensed for use on Wikipedia and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently orphaned, meaning that it is not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable under fair use (see our fair use policy).

If you have uploaded other unlicensed media, please check whether they're used in any articles or not. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Instant Star interview

Saw you're a fan of Alexz, thought you might be able to help. I've organized an interview with Tyler Kyte from the show (he's Vincent Spiederman), and I'm trying to figure out some questions to ask. If you've got any ideas, give me a shout at user talk:zanimum. -- Zanimum 20:54, 7 December 2006 (UTC)

Thanks for asking. How did you manage to get an interview with him. I will definitley be helping out.
User:Musicfreak7676
I just asked him on his MySpace. He I guess just happened to be logged on, because minutes later, he said yes. I guess you never know until you try. Glad to hear you're interested. -- Zanimum 21:42, 7 December 2006 (UTC)
That's awesome. I wish I could do that with Alexz. -- User:Musicfreak7676
Well, once Wikinews has a few smaller interviews under it's belt, we can definitely try to get her. I'm try to start small, and build up a track record so we can develop the trust and admiration of bigger stars and their PR people. -- Zanimum 14:46, 8 December 2006 (UTC)

Alana Grace

Thanks very much for your work on the Alexz Johnson and Instant Star articles. It's good to have a team approach on these.

When I was listening to Alexz Johnson in iTunes, I followed the "listeners also liked" links over to a new singer by the name of Alana Grace, and liked her work so much that I did a Wikipedia article on her. That article is now up for deletion on the grounds that she is not sufficiently notable.

As an Alexz fan, you might like her music as well. It's at: [1]. If you do, maybe you could put in a good word for keeping her article in Wikipedia, at: [2]

Thanks again for your work on the Alexz Johnson and Instant Star articles.

Alexz Johnson and Instant Star - Timing of CD and DVD

By the way, it was the Executive Producer of Instant Star who said that the DVD would be out soon, so yes, the DVD is a real thing. (It would have been nice to get it out before Christmas.)

As for timing of Alexz' CD, October makes sense: she starts recording it early in the New Year; she will want to get a bounce from Season 3 of Instant Star; and the soundtrack for Season 3 will be out around April, if past practice is any guide. She's a bit of perfectionist (a very positive thing, in my view), and will want to get it right, which will take time, so yes, October looks like the best bet, which still builds in a month of possible slippage before Christmas.

Tyler Kyte Interview

Later today, I'll be posting a number of suggested questions on Zanimum's user talk page, at: [3]

You may want to comment on some of these, or add in some further ones.

I wanted to get to this earlier, but got diverted by having to defend the continued inclusion of the Alana Grace article in Wikipedia. The debate over that has gone well, I think, and the decision will be made later today - hopefully to retain the article - so it's back to Alexz and Instant Star.

I really wish that CTV would get on with broadcasting the rest of Instant Star here in Canada. I'm thinking of writing to the CRTC about this situation, but havn't yet made up my mind to do so: CRTC is supposed to ensure that Canadian content gets made and is broadcast. CTV contracted with Epitome for the show, but has only shown the first 7 or 8 episodes. Everything was going fine with the broadcasts until Instant Star was displaced by "Dancing with the Stars" or "So You Think You Can Dance?" I can only imagine how Stephen Stohn feels about all this, given that he has been quite out-front on policy issues affecting Canadian broadcasting. He was quite polite and low-key in his postings on the CTV discussion board, but then again, he has to maintain good relations with CTV, which does buy the show, even though they have held back on the broadcast.

Alexz Johnson Article

I added a subsection (on Links in Other Languages) to the section on External Links, given that Alexz and Instant Star are popular in many other countries.

I don't think that this subsection will get out of control as long as it is limited to substantive links, and as long as a substantial fan base is involved. For example, Alexz is popular in Germany, and there are two articles (of reasonable length) in German, so I included references to these. For the same reasons, I also included two Spanish references. However, I did not include any French references, because the French Wikipedia article is only a one-liner. (I found this disappointing, since French is my main foreign language.)

To a considerable degree, the articles in other languages are spin-offs from the main English article. For example, the German article is essentially a shortened version of the English article.

Instant Star and Alexz are international phenomena, and the inclusion of some links in other languages will help to make the point, as long as we keep the links limited to a few main sites and Wikipedia articles.

I hope you're OK with this. I'd like to see the English Wikipedia article as the #1 source and starting point for people around the world who want to find out more about Alexz. For a substantial portion of the audience, English will be a foreign language, and if we can steer them to something in their own language, so much the better. I'd also like to see the Wikipedia articles in other languages upgraded over time, and if we can point readers directly to them, so much the better from that viewpoint.

Alexz Johnson Article Links

Hey,

Don't put Alexz-Johnson.Net as links. Yes it's a huge Alexz site but the person who is now running it is not a nice person. The site was handed to her badly and should not be running ATM. Hope you understand.

Number one sign your post, number two, you did not just remove the image you took off information. So dont pretend that all you got rid of is a "fan image" that's the promtional image avalible. Parys 21:03, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
Correction you think it's fake. that is the only promo image i have seen so far. and the mooreofmandy.com site is not a reliable source. I dont know who keeps adding it to the articles. That photo shoot that is so old also is being used on her OFFICIAL site. apparently she is still using those picture. Now i dont know when where or thing of that nature those photos where take. I am just stating what i know, what is sourced. Parys 22:40, 14 February 2007 (UTC)
First of there is no such thing as an official fan site, since its not coming from the true source, it is second hand information. So its an oxymoron. besides it is not sourced nowhere about anything of the sort. Sorry no spamming. and i never used the word stalker.Parys 03:44, 15 February 2007 (UTC)
On the note of the "official" fan site, i vote it remains out for numerous reasons. Number one mandy's site nor official or myspace endorses it. Two, the site isnt endorsed by EMI either. I see no proof on why this is the official anything, only by your word. sorry that isnt good enough. Now i said it remided me of the stalkers handy work, she was eventually banned from wikipedia. Alexz Johnson - MySpace Controversy

Looking back, I think that it's best to exclude all mention of MySpace sites, given that none has been proven official. As long as the sites aren't official, the copyright status of any songs on them is questionable.

If someone can prove convincingly that their Alexz MySpace site has official approval, then it can (and should) be mentioned in the Wikipedia article.

User:JD_Fan 18 February 2007]]

Alexz Johnson - Recording Contract

If you have a reference for the info that Alexz Johnson is no longer with Capitol, then it should go into the Wikipedia article as a footnoted source.

Presumably, she was dropped (if that's the case) as a result of a shake-out following a Capitol-Virgin merger. Or she may have somehow left on her own.

There has been controversy over Capitol micro-managing the Season 3 CD of Instant Star by insisting that Alexz only sing 1 or 2 songs on it; they later relented, and agreed to her singing 4 or 5 songs. But if she is no longer with Capitol, then they are no longer in a position to determine how many songs she sings on the Season 3 CD, in which case the Season 3 can - potentially - be another all-Alexz CD.

Any info on all this?

By the way, I fixed some of of the annoying edits/deletions made by what I see as an interloper on the Alexz article. I wish that people would just make positive contributions/corrections, and not move the article backwards as that person did.

Thanks again for your work on this article.

Disputed fair use rationale for Image:InstantStarS1.jpg

Thanks for uploading Image:InstantStarS1.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 04:36, 7 November 2007 (UTC)

Disputed fair use rationale for File:AlbumAllIEverWantedCover.jpg}

Thank you for uploading File:AlbumAllIEverWantedCover.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale provided for using this image under "fair use" may not meet the criteria required by Wikipedia:Non-free content. This can be corrected by going to the image description page and add or clarify the reason why the image qualifies for fair use. In particular, for each page the image is used on, the image must have an explanation linking to that page which explains why it needs to be used on that page. Can you please check:

  • That there is a non-free use rationale on the image's escription page for each article the image is used in.
  • That every article it is used on is linked to from its description page.

Please be aware that a fair use rationale is not the same as an image copyright tag; descriptions for images used under the fair use policy require both a copyright tag and a fair use rationale.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it might be deleted by adminstrator within a few days in accordance with our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions, please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the file description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NickContact/Contribs 06:09, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

This wasn't an album cover. Please tag uploads accurately. --John (talk) 06:33, 5 January 2010 (UTC)

Sorry, didn't know which one to choose. Plus, the photo on the Sugababes should reflect the current line-up. It's pages like that that show that Wiki is all false.

License tagging for File:JPI atwtsingles5710 405313 display.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:JPI atwtsingles5710 405313 display.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 03:06, 26 October 2010 (UTC)

Replaceable fair use File:Sarah_Glendening.jpg

Thanks for uploading File:Sarah_Glendening.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails our first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could reasonably be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per our non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Melesse (talk) 05:27, 29 December 2010 (UTC)

Thanks for uploading File:Vlcsnap-225142.png. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. However, please note that images for which a replacement could be created are not acceptable for use on Wikipedia (see our policy for non-free media).

I re-added it to the page it was originally on. There was no reason for a said user to replace the image. It was fine there prior.

Unsourced content

Hello, if you have reliable, third party sources confirming character/actor returns to List of Days of our Lives cast members, you are more than welcome to add them. But adding content without citing such sources is against policy, and such content has been removed. It may be confirmed, but there is no citation of a reliable source anywhere. Again, cite your verifiable sources correctly, and you can return the removed content. See WP:V for more information. Rm994 (talk) 00:58, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

-- The only way I can source is by photographing photos from the magazine, so unless that is allowed.... Musicfreak7676 (talk) 9:20PM 12 September 2011 (UTC)

The best way to source is to add citations to the places where it's needed. You can cite the name of the magazine, Soap Opera Digest, etc...and just put the issue number or date. But putting the citation tag is how you do it, not on the comments section of changes. See WP:CITE for more information. Hope this helps :) Rm994 (talk) 16:54, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

-- I will definitely go in and do such. Thanks so much, Sorry for such a horrible photograph, LOL. (talk) 1:00PM 12 September 2011 (UTC)

No problem. It's not necessary that we actually see it, as long as it can be verified that it exists. Personally, I've seen the information lots of places, but WP:V is very strict about what it allows as sources. Soap Opera Digest is considered reliable, so you're all good :) Rm994 (talk) 20:20, 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Excellent. I shall source it in a little bit. :D Didn't mean to cause any disruption at all, either. :D (talk) 20:22 13 September 2011 (UTC)

Oh no, you're fine. We need all the good help we can get! We just have to make sure it's done correctly :) Let me know if you have any questions. Rm994 (talk) 19:36, 14 September 2011 (UTC)

So I sourced them, and they were STILL removed. May I ask why? Musicfreak7676 (talk) 1:31PM 22nd September 2011 (UTC)

Character Images

I really enjoy the recent images you uploaded for the various characters. They look so great, modern and up-to-date that it got me hoping that you could take the time to upload images for all of the Guiding Light and As the World Turns characters and possibly for the Days of our Lives characters as well. A lot of images don't need to be updated, such as Bo Brady, Carly Manning and Chloe Lane, for example, but others really do!

A lot of the characters from these soaps have very old images or no images whatsoever. I see that you like DAYS and was hoping you can add new images for them and ATWT and GL because the latter two are in most need of images because so many characters have none or old ones. I hope you are interested and thank you so much in advance. 149.4.42.145 (talk) 15:26, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

FYI, these guidelines may be helpful to you on the use of images: Wikipedia's claim of fair use, and our policy for non-free media. Adding images that identify a character is ok, but decorative images are not. You should only add images if the removal of such images would significantly alter the content of the article. Hope this helps :) Rm994 (talk) 16:29, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

TO 149.4.42.145: I have plans to update ATWT sometime this week. I am working on it. I will as well update others, such as Bo and Carly. I have a vast majority of UHQ images from various years. I am working on these things throughout the next month. No worries here, ATWT is lacking, as is GL. Unforutnately, Carly Manning should be updated as the image isn't from a DAYS promotional shoot, it's from Venice, and does not represent her character.

TO RM994: I've never had an issue, though. No one has ever had an issue of the images I've uploaded. =/ They're just simply uploaded to look more HQ and uniform. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 12:49PM, 15 September 2011 (UTC)

You should keep Rm994's advice in mind. Your talk page shows that you have had issues with uploading images, as recently as August 15, 2011, though not with an editor personally. There is no reason to change a long-standing main image, like you did on the Babe Carey article, unless the character looks significantly different than they used to or it is indeed a clearer image or is taking care of an image violation. The previous is the up-close, more detailed of the two in this case, and corresponds to the up-close image of the second portrayer (though I have been meaning to downsize that second image or replace it). That is why I reverted. If you are going to WP:EDITWAR over this, however, then we'll need to bring in others to weigh in on the matter. I'm letting you know on your talk page, instead of just through edit summary, why I disagree with your changing this image. Other images you upload may be fine and may be better, but some of these images have been long-standing images because of preference or WP:Consensus and it is therefore sometimes best to discuss changing images before doing so. Flyer22 (talk) 17:59, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
The issues of upload was due to not having the absolute most concise copyright, not about the images themselves. And if you've noticed, I've added the correct copyright. And I only updated Babe's because the other image wasn't as HQ as I could be, I'm just trying to bring a more HQ quality to pages. It's not to disrupt what was done prior. That is why I updated Babe's image. Plus, it was a more updated look of Alexa's prior to the previous image that was once there. I'm not going to go war over a simple image either, that's absurd. And I had planned to update the other Babe image, but could not find an HQ enough quality one. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 3:10PM, 16 September 2011 (UTC)
The upload issues were about the images either way. You had image issues, is what I was saying. But at least it seems you have learned to provide the rationales and copyright tags (the correct ones even). And I'm not saying you are trying to disrupt Wikipedia. I'm just letting you know that I objected to this image change and others might object to some of your other image changes. They may not like your picture choice and restore to the previous one, or select a new one. This is why it is sometimes best to discuss image changes, especially long-standing images. By clicking on the image and scrolling down, you can see how long it has existed. Newer images (images that are one year or less old) are less likely to be contested. As for your image being "a more updated look of Alexa's" in comparison to other one, that isn't a strong reason to change the image in this case. She doesn't look drastically different than before; it's just a change of clothing and a slightly different change to her hair. She always wore bangs in the face or out of the face while on the show.
Well, it's not that silly to edit war over an image. People do it all the time here at Wikipedia, whether at soap opera articles or sex articles, etc., etc., but I'm glad you aren't going to edit war over this. And I'd appreciate you adding a different image for the second Babe. If you do, just make sure that it isn't too small in comparison to the image of Alexa. Flyer22 (talk) 14:25, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
I tried to update most images that were either ignored or of better, more unified quality. I had just felt that Babe's image was too LQ. But I'm not contesting it. I will try and find a new Babe N°2 image. It's harder to find actual images of her from photoshoots for AMC. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 12:45PM, 17 September 2011 (UTC)
I think it would be great to see the GL/ATWT images soon. I agree that it keeps the article precise to who the character is and is not just for fun. Having said that, Music, I hope to see those images soon.149.4.42.145 (talk) 19:45, 19 September 2011 (UTC)
You should be seeing them, hopefully, before the end of said month. I'm trying to search for HQ images, as I'm not a huge fan of screen captures. I promise I will get to them. ATWT characters such as Emily, Carly, Jack, Henry, have images made. Just need to be updated. For GL, Cassie will get a complete makeover. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 3:56PM, 19 September 2011 (UTC)

Hello, and welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to Wikipedia, at least one of your recent edits, such as the one you made to We Found Love, did not appear to be constructive and has been reverted or removed. Please use the sandbox for any test edits you would like to make, and read the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you. iTunes is a WP:BADHCARTS and is not accepted on Wikipedia. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 18:29, 22 September 2011 (UTC)

Umm.. I've been on Wikipedia for years, I'm not new to the site. And I don't see how it wasn't constructive, nor did I know iTunes charts weren't accepted. It's a charting position, as part of the new era of music. I guess I'll just let you keep redirecting until it charts on Billboard. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 2:43PM 22 September 2011 (UTC)
That's a bit contradictory. if you have been on Wikipedia for years, you should be very well acquainted with things such as knowing that iTunes is not a valid chart. It wasn't me who wants to re-direct, it's someone else, but I understand that the article has to be re-directed, as much as I'd like it not to be. So don't assume. Calvin NaNaNaC'mon! 18:56, 22 September 2011 (UTC)
I don't usually do music pages. I'm more a soap opera page editor. Not a music page editor. So I'm more equipped to soap operas editings, than any type of music editings. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 6:03PM 22 September 2011 (UTC)

Taylor Walker

Please familiarize yourself with WP:PLOT, WP:TENSE and WP:NOTE regarding your article about Taylor Walker. Works of fiction are to be written in present tense, and wikipedia is not a place for everyone's favorite soap opera characters to have a fan page, especially a trivial article about a character who's barely had a year of air time. I suggest, after serious overhaul and trimming down of that summary, that you place it somewhere on Minor characters of Days of our Lives. Also, fan sites with no affiliation with the show such as soap central and soaps.com are not considered reliable 3rd party sources per WP:V. I believed you asked why some of your sources were deleted, and that's probably why. We do need all the good help we can get here, we just have to be sure that the standards and rules are followed. Thank you :) Hope this helps. Rm994 (talk) 08:21, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

The sources had to do with the coming/going of characters. The page has been up for a hella long time. Nor do I really get why she's not notable? The page was up for months, and was never bothered with before. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 12:54PM 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Because no one noticed it. Just because something is on here for a long time, does not mean it is correct. It means that no one has caught it. And as far as notability, that comes from outside the realm of soap operas. To be honest, one could argue that MOST of the pages dedicated to soap opera characters should not be separate articles, because, other than characters like Marlena Evans or Erica Kane, who is going to know who they are? A minor character like Taylor, who's barely even been on the show should be listed at the minor characters page. The point of an encyclopedia is to encompass articles that people will search for and want to read...a short summary on Taylor at the minor characters page is more than enough. And as far as sourcing, references should be verifiable 3rd party sources, not fan sites. Soapoperadigest is generally accepted as reliable. I hope this helps when you're editing. You have done some good work here, and it is appreciated. :) Rm994 (talk) 17:50, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

K, I get it now. As for SOD, I don't see how it isn't reliable? LOL. I mean, it's distributed directly for soaps from the soaps themselves, so how would it not be reliable? If it weren't reliable, it wouldn't still be in publication all of these years later. And thanks, I try to help the pages out as much as I can. Soaps don't get as much attention as they clearly should. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 2:08PM 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Soap Opera Digest IS considered reliable, actually, for the reasons that you mentioned. Fan sites though, like soaps.com, soapcentral, etc, aren't. And I agree about soaps. It seems like their popularity is unfortunately declining :(. Hopefully with the new changes at Days, a fan base will be brought back. Rm994 (talk) 20:05, 24 September 2011 (UTC)

Ok well tomorrow I am adding him because I like to handle that. Thanks. TVFAN24 (talk) 21:31, 25 September 2011 (UTC)

As long as it's after the episode airs, I don't know why you gotta be giving me a complete attitude about it, like you know everything. You've been talked to prior about it. You should know better. You act like it's the end of the world if you don't do it when you do it, it's not the end of the world man. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 9:13 25 September 2011 (UTC)

Response about editor

Well, I think the best thing you can do is bring it to the attention of administators. I know one, I'll send him a little note and ask him to check into it. If he can't fix the issue or propose a solution, you can take it to the adminstrators' message board. I can show you how to do that if it is needed. Hope this helps...I'll put him in contact with you. Rm994 (talk) 01:41, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Thanks Rm, that'd be fantastic because this person is already at it again today, when I said the end of the episode, and they added it like hours before. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 12:40, 7 October 2011 (UTC)

Soap Articles in Trouble!

Hey Musicfreak, I wanted to let you know, since I enjoy your contributions and intent on improving all soap articles, that the user User:Gh87 is intentionally nominating hundreds (literally, hundreds) of soap character articles for deletion. In the past week, his grueling mistreatment has spread throughout the AMC characters most of all and has been trying to delete GL, ATWT, OLTL, DAYS, Santa Barbara, Sunset Beach (etc) characters nd history articles. He is also deleting images, all of which users have spent countless hours working on that he/she wants to delete due to "lack of notability". Just look at the contribution page - it is literally sickening at what he/she is doing. Account and IP users have tried to help but he bosses everyone around and gets admins on his side when others try to save the articles. Please help save these articles because I know you appreciate and love the soap world. Please spread the word to other users to participate in deletion discussions to save them. Again, please help and spread the word. Otherwise, users no longer have any articles to contribute for after he/she deletes them.149.4.204.17 (talk) 15:38, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Thank you for bringing this to my attention. I will bring what you have told me to someone else, and to an Admin and we will get this settled. I won't let this user destroy hundreds of soap pages. I promise you that!!! Musicfreak7676 (talk) 12:45, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

Unfortunately, this is exactly what I was talking about when I told you about Taylor Walker. Gh87 is probably challenging notability because no one outside the realm of soap operas would even know or care who these characters are. The best way to stop them from deletion is to comment on the pages that are listed for deletion. There is a section there where user comments are expected, and you give you reasons there. If enough people vote to keep them, they won't be deleted. Hope this helps. Rm994 (talk) 20:37, 11 October 2011 (UTC)

I hope it helps the person who posted this. I haven't seen him trying to delete pages. Cause while some (I) felt Taylor could've been notable, others (you) felt it wasn't. LOL. Hopefully this helps the person. Musicfreak7676 (talk) 5:39, 11 October 2011 (UTC)
