You have no idea what to do?[edit]

On an encyclopedia with 3mil articles? Inconceivable. That's like saying that 4chaners are uncreative, dull, and their discussions are mostly walls of text about new chemical elements. ;-) Seriously though, welcome to Wikipedia. I hope you don't mind the Ruby Quest thing...Wikipedia requires all articles to be verified with multiple reliable, third-party sources and RQ didn't even come close to that. If you ever would like something to do, I have 20k article backlogs that would love some attention. Or you could go back to 4chan. Your choice. I ramble. Welcome again! Reply to Nolelover[edit]

Wow, thanks for being so considerate! :D And it is quite alright about the page; there are rules, I should know. By the way, I am not actually new here. I've been here for a while, but never for too long a time because I could never really get the hang of it here. (After a while, I actually started contributing to the minor/ other wikis like Villains Wiki and TvTropes where the contributing and editing are not as precise as here on the main Wiki) Although, I was able to successfully create the Carver (film) page.

Also, I'm not really all that into 4chan, but I did enjoy Ruby Quest and I thought that it, and the impact it had on the /tg/ community was worth noting on its own page. (or at least, the page probably needed some more work and better references)

Yes, I had seen that your contribs go back to 2010, but I saw that you hadn't been "officially" welcomed yet so I figured ehh, why not. It's the least I can do after tagging your work for deletion. Yeah..it takes a lot of work to really get involved here. Learning the basics has been harder here then in any other community I've been a part of. Also, if you do find some source for Ruby Quest, you can always bring that up at the Talk:4chan page, and see if they think it should be included in that article. William Murdoch[edit]

In your explanation of your addition to the William Murdoch (poet) article you wrote "hope this is helpful". Well, yes and no. Yes because it adds interest and currency and no because it is un-sourced. You should add live references to the on-line discussions you mention. Otherwise it is meaningless. Thanks! Here is what is unsourced/unreferenced: "The work gained its notoriety on the internet after it was posted to a discussion thread of an RPG adventure game hosted on 4chan's /tg/ board," You are halfway there by mentioning the thread; now you need to provide the url's for the discussion and the later admission. Oh, sorry. I though you were referring ONLY to the edit in which I added the link to "poems and songs" 'cause that's where I said it. :P Also, I didn't really know if the archive could be considered 'accountable' by wiki standards (just as NL said), so I added a link to a livejournal instead (which seemed more-or-less viable). Facepalm -- I knew that...still, like you said, the threads (and maybe livejournal) are probably not gonna be considered reliable sources at all. Perhaps instead of looking for sources among threads and blogs and such, you check the other side and see if any bios or articles about Murdoch mention the poem? That's all I can think of...
