May 2018[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Philip Cross. I noticed that you made one or more changes to an article, Oliver Kamm, but you didn't provide a reliable source. It's been removed and archived in the page history for now, but if you'd like to include a citation and re-add it, please do so! If you need guidance on referencing, please see the referencing for beginners tutorial, or if you think I made a mistake, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Please read Wikipedia policy on the three-revert rule. You are now past the barrier and may face sanctions. Philip Cross (talk) 08:21, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Please see Wikipedia's Conflict of Interest policy which may apply to you. Philip Cross (talk) 08:53, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 48 hours for edit warring. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  NeilN talk to me 12:36, 2 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Since you have a continuing interest, I should refer you to the archived version of the latest case of edit-warring on the Oliver Kamm page: Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/3RRArchive366#User:46.208.188.159 and User:46.208.175.215reported by User:Philip Cross (Result: Page protected). Information icon Hello, I'm Philip Cross. I noticed that you made an edit concerning content related to a living (or recently deceased) person on Oliver Kamm, but you didn't support your changes with a citation to a reliable source, so I removed it. Wikipedia has a very strict policy concerning how we write about living people, so please help us keep such articles accurate and clear. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. As I indicate in my edit summary, this page has been semi-protected for the inclusion of this material. I could just as easily have used the "Adding unreferenced controversial information about living persons" option from the drop down menu, as well as several others. May I remind you that have already been blocked once for 48 hours for adding material on this, so far, non-notable issue. Philip Cross (talk) 08:53, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 2 weeks for edit warring and BLP violations, as you did at Oliver Kamm. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  331dot (talk) 09:24, 7 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for abusing multiple accounts. Note that multiple accounts are allowed, but not for illegitimate reasons, and any contributions made while evading blocks or bans may be reverted or deleted.

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who declined the request. Other administrators may also review this block, but should not override the decision without good reason (see the blocking policy).

Request reason:

I do not wish to be unblocked; I have honoured and respected the block placed upon me for over four years. I use no sock puppets, and I never edit Wikipedia. What I do request is for this "NomdeA", please, (see below), to be informed that he or she is to leave my talk page alone; and I would also ask that he or she be sanctioned, under WP:BATTLEGROUND. "Wikipedia is not a place to hold grudges, import personal conflicts, carry on ideological battles, or nurture prejudice, hatred, or fear. Making personal battles out of Wikipedia discussions goes directly against our policies and goals." I have criticised this editor on Twitter. That does not give him or her the right to pursue me on Wikipedia, raising an issue that has been closed on this forum for nearly half a decade. It is also a false accusation that I am "trying to disrupt Wikipedia". I have not even edited Wikipedia since May 2018. Many thanks for your attention. 46.208.174.103 (talk) 19:22, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Not an unblock request. 331dot (talk) 19:37, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

August 2022[edit]

The banning of this sock puppet is right. It is disgraceful behaviour by someone who is trying to disrupt Wikipedia. NomdeA (talk) 18:20, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

NomdeA I would advise you to not stir the pot further. 331dot (talk) 19:38, 17 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
Don’t worry, he won’t try this again. NomdeA (talk) 09:57, 18 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I am wondering, 331dot, if this is what you meant by "not stir the pot". I would also wish to complain about this user under WP:BATTLEGROUND, as previously noted, under WP:HUSH ("A common problem is harassment in userspace. Examples include placing numerous false or questionable "warnings" on a user's talk page, restoring such comments after a user has removed them, placing "suspected sockpuppet" and similar tags on the user page of active contributors, and otherwise trying to display material the user may find annoying or embarrassing in their user space."), and WP:HNE ("In alignment with the protection of editors from harassment described throughout the rest of this policy, edits that harass living or recently deceased people who are not members of the Wikipedia community are also prohibited. Per the oversight policy, harassing content will be deleted or suppressed. Editors who post such material in any namespace may be indefinitely blocked."). Whatever "NomdeA" thinks he or she is doing, it is *clearly* not intended to build an encyclopedia. Please may I request action. Many thanks.
