Wikimedia Canada[edit]

Hi there! I'd like to invite you to explore Wikimedia Canada, and create a list of people interested in forming a local chapter for our nation. A local chapter will help promote and improve the organization, within our great nation. We'd also like to encourage everyone to suggest projects for our national chapter to participate in. Hope to see you there!--DarkEvil 17:11, 20 January 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Image tagging for Image:Queenduke.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading Image:Queenduke.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the source and creator of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Please note: The reason I have placed these images for deletion as copyright violations is the website you noted as the source contains no assertion that these images have been released into the public domain. In fact, the website clearly notes on the bottom that the site is copyrighted and all rights are reserved. --Durin 18:55, 16 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Your work on the Pederasty page[edit]

Would you mind helping me understand why you removed material which was properly sourced? Haiduc 11:22, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I can't recall what I did on that page, but all I can say is that the practice of pederasty is without a doubt totally disgusting.

Unreferenced BLPs[edit]

Hello Kscheffler! Thank you for your contributions. I am a bot notifying you on behalf of the the unreferenced biographies team that 1 of the articles that you created is currently tagged as an Unreferenced Biography of a Living Person. The biographies of living persons policy requires that all personal or potentially controversial information be sourced. In addition, to ensure verifiability, all biographies should be based on reliable sources. If you were to bring this article up to standards, it would greatly help us with the current 943 article backlog. Once the article is adequately referenced, please remove the {{unreferencedBLP}} tag. Here is the article:

  1. Sarah Klassen - Find sources: Google (books · news · scholar · free images · WP refs· FENS · JSTOR · TWL

Thanks!--DASHBot (talk) 03:14, 19 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

The article Mabel Burkholder has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Seemingly unnotable local historian. No coverage found in my search as per WP:BEFORE

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. The article 2. Hannoversches Infanterie-Regiment Nr. 77 has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Blatant WP:PUTEFFORT violation. Little context, little content, little sourcing.

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

  • Yeah. When you make a new article, please to be putting a little more meat on it. One sentence and six empty sections do not an article make. Ten Pound Hammer, his otters and a clue-bat • (Otters want attention) 12:11, 21 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I have to say I have to agree that the empty headers do not make the article look good. At least do hide them. On the other hand the subject establishes notability by having been the subject of at least seven books over quite some timeframe. Therefore I have removed the PROD tag. Autopatrolled[edit]

Hello, this is just to let you know that I have granted you the "autopatrolled" permission. This won't affect your editing, it just automatically marks any page you create as patrolled, benefiting new page patrollers. Please remember:

  • This permission does not give you any special status or authority
  • Submission of inappropriate material may lead to its removal
  • You may wish to display the {{Autopatrolled}} top icon and/or the {{User wikipedia/autopatrolled}} userbox on your user page
  • If, for any reason, you decide you do not want the permission, let me know and I can remove it
If you have any questions about the permission, don't hesitate to ask. Otherwise, happy editing!HJ Mitchell | Penny for your thoughts? 21:46, 25 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Dear uploader:

The media file you uploaded as File:Lt.Col. McFarland, commander of the 147th Battalion, CEF.jpg appears to be missing information as to its authorship (and or source), or if you did provide such information, it is confusing for others trying to make use of the image.

It would be appreciated if you would consider updating the file description page, to make the authorship of the media clearer.

Although some images may not need author information in obvious cases, (such where an applicable source is provided),authorship information aids users of the image, and helps ensure that appropriate credit is given (a requirement of some licenses).

  • If you created this media yourself, please consider explicitly including your user name, for which:{{subst:usernameexpand|Kscheffler}} will produce an appropriate expansion,
    or use the {{own}} template.
  • If this is an old image, for which the authorship is unknown or impossible to determine, please indicate this on the file description page.
If you have any questions please see Help:Image page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 11:37, 16 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
