PGP-Key[edit]

Hello Konaya,
you tell us on your user-page that you have a PGP-key, but you don’t provide it. Could you please use a pgp-template with an ID-field (like Template:User PGP)? Request reason:

Caught by a web host block but this host or IP is not a web host. My IP address is 185.236.41.197. True, I work for a hosting provider – but the addresses in this /24 are statically assigned to our staff. It is not an open proxy by any sane definition of the word – in fact, if you do a PTR lookup on that IP address you'll even see my first name. You can't get more accountable than that!   - I can assert with a fair amount of confidence that neither 185.236.40.0/24 nor 185.236.41.0/24 will be made available to customers in any foreseeable future, so blocking them simply for belonging to a hosting provider is inaccurate at any rate. The static assignment is always the same for you and your IP does not change at all?
The IP that you are on currently isn't in any of the ranges that you have indicated above. Google "whatismyipaddress" and confirm your IP here.
If a fixed IP can be determined then that IP could be anon-blocked which would allow accounts to use it although the larger range remains hardblocked...and this is easier administratively instead of all those reblocks. For that matter, the /24 might could be anon-blocked as a possibility.

@SQL: Yes. I created one for Andy Mabbett in this ANI thread that worked and I give some details on how to detect pinhole blocks in a subthread. When you block a range, the more specific blocks on IPs or subranges are holes so if you want your blocks to be thorough, you may have to remove some of those. The details in my example used at ANI may not be correct now because some of the blocks have likely expired. I believe that Andy is still using his pinhole.
