Signature length

Hello Knightoftheswords281, please update your user signature to comply with WP:SIGLENGTH. The limit is 255 characters and yours is currently almost 1,000. Thank you for your prompt attention to this matter. ––FormalDude (talk) 05:03, 29 March 2023 (UTC)

Indeed. More than a day later, your signature as used here is still well over 400 characters, and needs significant further shortening. --Redrose64 🌹 (talk) 18:29, 30 March 2023 (UTC)

And it's not just the length, which is more then 3 lines of widescreen text, but the two block areas that are both links to your user page. It is distracting and draws undue attention to your comments. Shorten it. Stephen 23:19, 30 March 2023 (UTC)
KotS continues this morning to use User:Knightoftheswords281/signature to evade the 255 character limitation, so I've edited that page to make the signature complaint. If a non-compliant signature is put back, I'll delete and salt the page. If he finds some other way to violate this, I'll just block indef as a time sink. Floquenbeam (talk) 16:28, 31 March 2023 (UTC)
@Floquenbeam I've edited my signature, but threatening to block me over some absolute trivial nonsense like this is absurd. I had stuff to do yesterday, I decided to move it to today. - Knightsoftheswords281 (Talk-Contribs) 20:26, 31 March 2023 (UTC)

knights

hello, Knightoftheswords281! are you currently aware that your signature uses the plural "Knights" while your username uses the singular "Knight"? i apologize in advance if this was deliberate; i only brought it up to be helpful in case it was an error that you were unaware of. dying (talk) 00:02, 15 April 2023 (UTC)

2023 Canadian federal worker strike

Hello, I'd like to inform you that this edit is not correct. Per the very source you used, The national PSAC president announced at a Tuesday evening news conference the strike would begin at 12:01 a.m. ET Wednesday.. Here are more sources confirming this:

  • Global News: Canada's largest public service union had set a deadline of 9 p.m. Eastern Tuesday for the two sides to make a deal. With the deadline come and gone, the union's members — including 35,000 Canada Revenue Agency employees — walked off the job as of 12:01 a.m. Eastern Wednesday.
  • Official announcement by PSAC: More than 155,000 PSAC members working for Treasury Board and the Canada Revenue Agency will begin strike action on April 19 if a deal cannot be reached by 9 p.m. ET April 18
    • Another announcement by PSAC: If there is no deal reached by 9 p.m. tomorrow, April 18, we will launch a national general strike beginning at 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, April 19 for all our 155,000 PSAC members working for both CRA and Treasury Board.
    • Tweet from PSAC: Treasury Board and CRA members are on strike effective tomorrow at 12:01 AM ET April 19.
  • CTV News: The union said strike action would begin Wednesday at 12:01 a.m. EDT.
  • CityNews:
    • PSAC says strike will begin Wednesday if no deal reached with federal government
    • 155,000 civil servants represented by PSAC will begin a general strike Wednesday, if no deal is reached by Tuesday night.
    • The country's largest federal public service union says if a deal isn't reached with the federal government by 9 p.m. eastern time on Tuesday, it will strike this Wednesday.
  • North Bay Nugget:
    • Union members will be on strike as of 12:01 a.m. Wednesday, April 19, 2023.
    • With more than 155,000 Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) members on strike as of Wednesday morning
  • Pembroke Observer: The Public Service Alliance of Canada (PSAC) announced on Tuesday evening that its members would go on strike starting Wednesday, after their deadline to have a deal with the government passed.

I could go on with more sources, but I think it's clear from the sources I've just posted and the passages I've just quoted from them. Please do not change the strike start date to April 18, as that is not the correct date. Rowing007 (talk) 22:17, 22 April 2023 (UTC)

Whoops, my fault. I originally wrote April 19 from a Fox News source written on the 19th. Then I saw that most sources were written on the 18th and changed it under the mistaken assumption that that was when it started. - Knightoftheswords281 (Talk-Contribs) 22:21, 22 April 2023 (UTC)

The Purple Barnstar

The Purple Barnstar
I'm following up here from ITN, where I've been noticing your contributions over the past couple of months. I then saw some of the previous threads on your user talk page, and it's left me with the impression that you've had a bit of a rocky start. So, I wanted to give you this as a way of showing my appreciation for your continued contributions and improvement as an editor. Keep up the good work—learning the ropes takes time, and not everyone has the patience to stick with it. Kurtis (talk) 16:58, 23 April 2023 (UTC)
Thanks bro. You know, I've had a rocky start, but just like Rocky, you gotta learn to persists and climb those steps. - Knightoftheswords281 (Talk-Contribs) 17:06, 23 April 2023 (UTC)

A request re: notifications

Hey, KotS. Just a minor request: Unless you are asking me a direct question to which you want my response, or you are replying to a message that I have sent you, please try to avoid pinging me in any future messages. Just trying to trim down on the number of notifications I'm receiving, as I already monitor ITN fairly regularly. That's all, no other issues. WaltClipper -(talk) 14:34, 25 April 2023 (UTC)

Okay @WaltCip. No more unnecessary pings. I was thinking about reducing that already. Sorry for the inconvenience. - Knightoftheswords281 (Talk · Contribs) 14:36, 25 April 2023 (UTC)
