Dates on History of the Incas[edit]

Hello.

In the article on the History of the Incas, you added a chronology by José Antonio del Busto, in Una cronología aproximada del Tahuantinsuyu. I do not have the book in question, but the article on Amaru seems to be indicating that del Busto thinks that that Incas co-rule took place around 1450, and not in 1467. I didn’t want to remove the clame because I don’t have the actual document, so I just wanted to tell you since you seem to still be working on the article. I wish you a good day Reman Empire (talk) 14:13, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello and thank you for reaching out! If you view the article history you'll see that I took most of the chronology from es:Inca so unfortunately I don't have the book either. According to the original reference, it's page 22 of the book that indicates the date of 1467. We cannot contact the author of the original edit, as it appears to have been made anonymously in 2017. At least the author seems trustworthy since he properly referenced and expanded the bibliography.
What I do have is another Busto's book, called Tupac Yupanqui, from where I got the periods for the chronology. The reason why I didn't reference it as well was that I've been quite busy these days and didn't have enough time to do a proper edit (in other words, I forgot), hence the small changes in the Inca Empire section and translations from Spanish articles. I will read the book today, and if I find something that contradicts the date of 1467, I'll make sure to change it. Killari Wanka (talk) 16:43, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your response and in general for your edits on these pages lately, its great. Reman Empire (talk) 18:09, 12 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Wikiproject Inca Empire[edit]

Hello. I’ve seen that you were quite active on History of the Incas, how about you try to help in the creation of WikiProject Inca Empire. We would appreciate your much needed help. Cheers. Encyclopédisme (talk) 03:14, 7 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello! Before anything else I'd like to apologize for replying two days later, I haven't been using the internet much these days.
Now, I'd like to express my sincere gratitude for your invitation to join the WikiProject. I put a lot of effort into improving that article from the state it was in before and I'd like to start editing again now that I have free time. That being said, I'm a college student, and as much as I'd love to be a long-time and active contributor, I have to sadly inform you that I'll likely have to stop doing large edits mid/late March due to the start of my classes and other commitments (that is, unless I manage to do just fine with my schedule).
In spite of my limitations, I would like to remain in close communication in the future and continue to support the project in any way I can, even if it means a reduced level of commitment. So for now, I just need you to tell me where to start supporting the WikiProject, since as you can probably tell I'm still kind of a newbie.
Thank you again for considering my participation. I look forward to collaborating with you. Killari Wanka (talk) 04:58, 9 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]
No worries! I too am a recent contributor, and have a packed schedule. As to the WikiProject, it exists already, but was inactive since its very inception. Rather I'd express my most sincere gratitude for your recent contributions, it helps, especially since these subjects are usually ignored on en.wiki or fr.wiki, and are often inaccurately presented on es.wiki. Thanks! There are few people like you on Wikipedia, and even fewer interested in Tawantinsuyu. Niche subjects often face a shortage of editors. Cheers, and happy editing.
