Thanks, Dru. An obvious question is why would anyone persistently vandalize an article on deserts?!? Weird. I took a look at the edit history, and the last time the article was unprotected it did receive a lot of vandalism. It is very weird what some people choose to waste their time on! I think only about 5% of articles are protected, though they do tend to be the top-level ones with the highest traffic, so there should be the other 95% to keep you going for the few days until your account qualifies -- happy editing! More page blanking[edit]

This edit was a bit over the top. Unsourced material is indeed a problem at Wikipedia, but unsourced material should only be deleted if it is controversial. Why are you not discussing at the article talk page? "Over the top" is not a Wikipedia policy - WP:RS is. "unsourced material should only be deleted if it is controversial" is not correct. In any case, this is highly controversial, since there are warnings about this company doing pump and dumps in criminal fraud schemes. Redirects[edit]

You created a redirect from an article (Meiping Wu) to a talk page (Talk:Yasheng Group). This is an invalid redirect, which is why it was tagged for speedy deletion. You have since updated the page to redirect directly to Yasheng Group, which, while better, still seems odd, since the name Meiping Wu does not appear on the Yasheng Group page. Yes, I made an error cutting and pasting. I fixed it to a redirect to the article. The article lack notability. Meiping Wu lists herself using various permutation name spelling aliases as president of both Yasheng Group and Silk Route Museum. Both of these companies failed made geology claims that failed to check out. Then I noticed the articles appear to be complete fabrications, and both companies were accused on mustiple fraud websites of pump and dumps, with each company pretending to buy the other, and know fraudsters involved in the fals adverts. "A few tourist sites that list it" are not reliable secondary sources, nor to they meet WP:Notability. You claim not to be involved, yet took time to invent an entire article without a single reliable secondary source. How did you happen to hear about the article? It does establish the sponsor of the museum as being involved with securities fraud, I already found a good secondary source linking the group to fraud and included it in the article, right now I am trying to find more secondary sources which prove the museum actually exists.
