September[edit]

Moni, I saw that you had put in different dates for September than what was in the current timeline article, and what I calculate from Rarick. Rarick says that on Sep 2 the group had been 3 days since they had left the spring (meaning they'd left August 31) and that it took 5.5 days for them all to cross the desert (Sep 5). They rested for 10 days before leaving again. They reached the Humboldt on Sep 26. Does Stewart given different dates? Karanacs (talk) 18:31, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Err. The thing with all the sources is that they all disagree about dates and ages. I'm getting this from Stewart who has the itinerary all nice and neat and laid out pretty, but Johnson is a better source. But I have to read through all the footnotes in Johnson and that takes concentration that I did not have the luxury to employ when I was typing out all the notes from Stewart. So, I'll fix what I can soon. Maybe this weekend or one upcoming evening. --Moni3 (talk) 18:38, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
No hurry. It seems that Rarick used Johnson liberally, he just didn't like to include the dates much. Karanacs (talk) 18:43, 25 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
