Disambiguation link notification for September 25[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Miss Universe, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Ashley Graham. Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 08:12, 25 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Rima Ostwani[edit]

Hello Joseatienza,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Rima Ostwani for deletion, because the article doesn't clearly indicate why the subject is important enough to be included in an encyclopedia.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks!

February 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello and welcome to Wikipedia. Constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, but a recent edit of yours to the page Miss World 2023 has an edit summary that appears to be inadequate, inaccurate, or inappropriate. The summaries are helpful to people browsing an article's history, so it is important that you use edit summaries that accurately tell other editors what you did. Feel free to use the sandbox to make test edits. Thank you.

This summary was inaccurate. ☆ Bri (talk) 01:16, 14 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Hello @Bri, this user is still adding unsourced/poorly sourced content at Miss World 2023. Allyriana000 (talk) 17:53, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
@Allyriana000, this is not unsourced/poorly sourced but this is really sourced at miss world 2023 because Miss World 2023 will be held in India for the second time to host country after Miss World 1996 was held in India for the first time to host country that is true and i am not lying but please stop removing that marking the second time for the host country to stage the final thank you. Joseatienza (talk) 18:10, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
If there's a source for this then OK put it in. It looks unsourced. ☆ Bri (talk) 21:02, 7 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

No, you are just an editor acting like a "dictator" despite having unsourced edits. Wikipedia is a friendly community of volunteers who are willing to share information with reliable source. If you re to continue with these actions, you are in danger of having your account blocked.

You have been blocked from editing for a period of 24 hours for edit warring, as you did at Miss World 2023. Once the block has expired, you are welcome to make useful contributions.
During a dispute, you should first try to discuss controversial changes and seek consensus. If that proves unsuccessful, you are encouraged to seek dispute resolution, and in some cases it may be appropriate to request page protection.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please read the guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text below the block notice on your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Liz Read! Talk! 21:16, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I asked you to stop edit-warring and start a talk page discussion but you simply continued and removed my talk page message. If this continues after this brief block is over, I will completely block you from editing this article. There are no exceptions for edit-warring because you think you are right and other editors are wrong. Disputes are resolved on article talk pages, not through reverting each other edits or insisting on your own version. Liz Read! Talk! 21:19, 17 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Request reason:

Miss World 2023 to be held in the United Arab Emirates, as well as in the Middle East for the first time is really true because Miss World President and Chief Executive Officer, Julia Morley was announced for Miss World 2023 but next time please do not remove that This was the first Miss World event to be held in the United Arab Emirates, as well as in the Middle East. in this article -> Miss World 2023 because of this read -> This was the first time China hosted the pageant. in this article -> Miss World 2003. Joseatienza (talk) 06:22, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

I am declining your unblock request because it does not address the reason for your block, or because it is inadequate for other reasons. To be unblocked, you must convince the reviewing administrator(s) that

  • the block is not necessary to prevent damage or disruption to Wikipedia, or
  • the block is no longer necessary because you
    1. understand what you have been blocked for,
    2. will not continue to cause damage or disruption, and
    3. will make useful contributions instead.

Please read the guide to appealing blocks for more information. Daniel Case (talk) 07:31, 18 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

July 2023[edit]

Information icon Hi Joseatienza! I noticed that you have reverted to restore your preferred version of Miss World 2023 several times. The impulse to undo an edit you disagree with is understandable, but I wanted to make sure you're aware that the edit warring policy disallows repeated reversions even if they are justifiable.

All editors are expected to discuss content disputes on article talk pages to try to reach consensus. If you are unable to agree at Talk:Miss World 2023, please use one of the dispute resolution options to seek input from others. Using this approach instead of reverting can help you avoid getting drawn into an edit war. Thank you. Liz Read! Talk! 19:13, 8 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]

August 2023[edit]

Information icon Hello, I'm Bri. I noticed that you recently made an edit to Miss Teen USA 2023 in which your edit summary did not appear to describe the change you made. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks.

This was not a "grammar change". ☆ Bri (talk) 17:13, 8 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

January 2024[edit]

You currently appear to be engaged in an edit war according to the reverts you have made on Miss World 2023. This means that you are repeatedly changing content back to how you think it should be although other editors disagree. Users are expected to collaborate with others, to avoid editing disruptively, and to try to reach a consensus, rather than repeatedly undoing other users' edits once it is known that there is a disagreement.

Points to note:

  1. Edit warring is disruptive regardless of how many reverts you have made;
  2. Do not edit war even if you believe you are right.

If you find yourself in an editing dispute, use the article's talk page to discuss controversial changes and work towards a version that represents consensus among editors. You can post a request for help at an appropriate noticeboard or seek dispute resolution. In some cases, it may be appropriate to request temporary page protection. If you engage in an edit war, you may be blocked from editing. Please do not continue to restore unsourced information to the lead of this article. It must be sourced in the body per MOS:LEADCITE or sourced in situ. Sciencefish (talk) 09:55, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

@Sciencefish please do not remove that "This is the second time that Miss World pageant in India" it is true but i am not lying. @joseatienza (talk) 08:30 (PHT), 1 January 2024 Joseatienza (talk) 12:30, 1 January 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, Joseatienza,
Learn to work with other editors, especially those you disagree with. We all have to learn how to do this. If you keep swearing at other editors, you'll receive a longer block of one week or longer. Liz Read! Talk! 19:10, 21 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Welcome to Wikipedia, and thank you for your contributions. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, please note that there is a Manual of Style that should be followed to maintain a consistent, encyclopedic appearance. Deviating from this style, as you did in Miss World 2023, disturbs uniformity among articles and may cause readability or accessibility problems. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Please add the text and source to the body before add to the lead. the lead doesn't need a source per MOS:LEADCITE, please note that Missworld.com is a primary source and that a reliable tertiary source is required per WP:RELIABLE Sciencefish (talk) 11:23, 24 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Information icon Please do not add or change content, as you did at Miss World 2023, without citing a reliable source. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Your addition to the lead is not notable and still has no entry or source in the main body of the article. Please not add such material to articles. i am really say sorry but please unblock me and next time i will not re-edit anymoreJoseatienza (talk) 14:44, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Decline reason:

Not only does this not fully address the reason for your block but it's hard to see why we should believe you this time. You've had plenty of warnings and you've even been blocked from this before. It's more likely you'll be permanently blocked from editing Miss World 2023 and related subjects. Yamla (talk) 15:27, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

  • Joseatienza, you cannot change an unblock request once it has been declined. You may post a new comment or another unblock request, but if you refactor a declined request again, your access to this page will be revoked.--Bbb23 (talk) 16:04, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]

My Request reason: I apologize for the actions that I have made in the aforementioned article. My actions towards a certain user is wrong, and instead of reaching a consensus, I took the wrong way and blatantly reverted their edits. I may have good intentions, but those intentions do not always reciprocate my actions. I promise that I will not do it again, and continue to only add information and follow the three-revert rule. I do not wish to cause any harm to any user, and I do sincerely apologize for my actions.--joseatienza (talk) 00:13, 29 February 2024 (PHT)

Are you suggesting a topic ban around Miss World contests, broadly construed? What about falsely labeling other users' edits as vandalism? What about edit warring when you aren't breaching WP:3RR? --Yamla (talk) 16:21, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, I do understand that edits that I disagree with are not vandalism. Allyriana000 was always removed that "This will be the second time that the pageant has been held in India" in the top of Miss World 2023 article. I am not breaching because that is true Miss World 1996 for the first time was held in india and Miss World 2023 will be the second time to be held in India but so please will not remove that "This will be the second time that the pageant has been held in India" in Location and date of Miss World 2023 article. Joseatienza (talk) 16:59, 28 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
I'd be more convinced that an unblock is tenable if the editor were referring only to their own behavior and errors and not referring to the other party (Allyriana000) in the unblock request. ☆ Bri (talk) 21:07, 29 February 2024 (UTC)[reply]
