Gachon University

Hi, I saw you added some issue tags to Gachon University last year. I've rewritten the introduction and added some sources and another user added more information as well. I didn't spend a lot of time as I am a retired editor and doctoral student(I show up now and then). If you and a few others could take a look at it and the issue tags that were added maybe see whether some of the problems have been resolved. I'll leave a message for a few others as well to get a couple sets of eyes on it. It would be nice if the article can be salvaged (I see it was up for deletion at least once). Thanks! Davidpdx (talk) 01:33, 30 December 2013 (UTC)

I've been pretty wikibonked lately, but I checked in and saw this message. Comparing it to what it looked like when I tagged it, I'd say it definitely can lose the advert tag at the very least, and I'll trust your judgment on the other tags. - Jorgath (talk) (contribs) 21:57, 11 February 2014 (UTC)

Thanks

Hello Sir,Thanks for the edit. Well ,myself being a newcomer to Wikipedia, please guide me where the grammar can be improved and how can I improve the grammar by copy edit , as the tag says, and request for deletion of the copy edit for grammar tag. Hpsatapathy (talk) 01:48, 1 March 2014 (UTC)

There are a large number of little punctuation, spacing, and capitalization errors throughout the article. On top of that, the "Leading the movement" section should be split into at least two paragraphs for ease of reading. Speaking of that, I have some concerns about the section headings - could you try to make them more neutral? That said, the article has significant potential. - Jorgath (talk) (contribs) 02:00, 1 March 2014 (UTC)
Thanks Sir, I shall try to get it right.

Heh. Started with Nats players, got done with them, hopped to Phillies. May do the rest of the NL East as time permits. - Jorgath (talk) (contribs) 19:29, 7 March 2014 (UTC)

Disambiguation link notification for April 11

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited 2014 Atlanta Braves season, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Carlos Torres (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

April edition of The Inside Corner

Hi Jorgath: previously you indicated you'd like to contribute to the WikiProject baseball newsletter. Is there something you'd like to submit? Thanks! isaacl (talk) 00:58, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

Not yet. I'd like to write something for Inside Corner, but I'm having writer's block right now and am having trouble coming up with ideas for the newsletter. Is there anything you'd like written for it? - Jorgath (talk) (contribs) 02:29, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
If there is a featured article or image you'd like to highlight, you can always add some blurbs to the showcase queue (there are contributors lined up for these showcase items in the next issue, but in anticipation of busier times, I'm happy to bank material for future issues). Maybe there is an unusual rule quirk you'd like to describe, or some personal experience you'd like to share, which could fit in the Opinion section? isaacl (talk) 02:37, 22 April 2014 (UTC)
I'll think about it. I've got a lot going on IRL, but I may be able to give you a blurb or two. I'll get back to you in the next couple of days either way. - Jorgath (talk) (contribs) 02:49, 22 April 2014 (UTC)

DRN needs assistance

You are receiving this message because you have listed yourself as a volunteer at the Dispute Resolution Noticeboard.

We have a backlog of cases there which need volunteer attention. If you have time available, please take one or more of these cases.

If you do not intend to take cases or help with the administration of DRN on a regular basis, or if you do not wish to receive further notices of this nature, please remove your username from the volunteer list. If you later decide to resume activities at DRN you may relist your name at that time.

Best regards, TransporterMan 15:52, 8 January 2015 (UTC) (current DRN coordinator)

Help needed at DRN

You are receiving this message because you are signed up as a volunteer at the Dispute Resolution Noticeboard. We have a number of pending requests which need a volunteer to address them. Unless you are an inexperienced volunteer who is currently just watching DRN to learn our processes, please take a case. If you do not see yourself taking cases in the foreseeable future, please remove yourself from the volunteer list so that we can have a better idea of the size of our pool of volunteers; if you do see yourself taking cases, please watchlist the DRN page and keep an eye out to see if there are cases which are ready for a volunteer. We have recently had to refuse a number of cases because they were listed for days with no volunteer willing to take them, despite there being almost 150 volunteers listed on the volunteer page. Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page. DRN help needed and volunteer roll call

You are receiving this message because you have listed yourself on the list of volunteers at Wikipedia:Dispute resolution noticeboard/Volunteering#List of the DRN volunteers.

First, assistance is needed at DRN. We have recently closed a number of cases without any services being provided for lack of a volunteer willing to take the case. There are at least three cases awaiting a volunteer at this moment. Please consider taking one.

Second, this is a volunteer roll call. If you remain interested in helping at DRN and are willing to actively do so by taking at least one case (and seeing it through) or helping with administrative matters at least once per calendar month, please add your name to this roll call list. Individuals currently on the principal volunteer list who do not add their name on the roll call list will be removed from the principal volunteer list after June 30, 2016 unless the DRN Coordinator chooses to retain their name for the best interest of DRN or the encyclopedia. Individuals whose names are removed after June 30, 2016, should feel free to re-add their names to the principal volunteer list, but are respectfully requested not to do so unless they are willing to take part at DRN at least one time per month as noted above. No one is going to be monitoring to see if you live up to that commitment, but we respectfully ask that you either live up to it or remove your name from the principal volunteer list.

Europe 10,000 Challenge invite

Hi. The Wikipedia:WikiProject Europe/The 10,000 Challenge has recently started, based on the UK/Ireland Wikipedia:The 10,000 Challenge. The idea is not to record every minor edit, but to create a momentum to motivate editors to produce good content improvements and creations and inspire people to work on more countries than they might otherwise work on. There's also the possibility of establishing smaller country or regional challenges for places like Germany, Italy, the Benelux countries, Iberian Peninsula, Romania, Slovenia etc, much like Wikipedia:The 1000 Challenge (Nordic). For this to really work we need diversity and exciting content and editors from a broad range of countries regularly contributing. If you would like to see masses of articles being improved for Europe and your specialist country like Wikipedia:WikiProject Africa/The Africa Destubathon, sign up today and once the challenge starts a contest can be organized. This is a way we can target every country of Europe, and steadily vastly improve the encyclopedia. We need numbers to make this work so consider signing up as a participant and also sign under any country sub challenge on the page that you might contribute to! Thank you. --Ser Amantio di NicolaoChe dicono a Signa?Lo dicono a Signa. 09:14, 6 November 2016 (UTC)

Wikipedia:WikiProject United States/The 50,000 Challenge

You are invited to participate in the 50,000 Challenge, aiming for 50,000 article improvements and creations for articles relating to the United States. This effort began on November 1, 2016 and to reach our goal, we will need editors like you to participate, expand, and create. See more here!

New deal for page patrollers

Hi Jorgath,

In order to better control the quality of new pages, keep out the spam, and welcome the genuine newbies, the current system we introduced in 2011 is being updated and improved. The documentation and tutorials have also been revised and given a facelift. Most importantly a new user group New Page Reviewer has been created.

Under the new rule, you may find that you are temporarily unable to mark new pages as reviewed. However, this is nothing to worry about - most current experienced patrollers are being accorded the the new right without the need to apply, and if you have significant previous experience of patrolling new pages, we strongly encourage you to apply for the new right as soon as possible - we need all the help we can get, and we are now providing a dynamic, supportive environment for your work.

Find out more about this exiting new user right now at New Page Reviewers and be sure to read the new tutorial before applying. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 04:28, 13 November 2016 (UTC)
