April 2013[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Canon EF 100-400mm lens has been reverted.
Your edit here to Canon EF 100-400mm lens was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://camerapedia.wikia.com/wiki/Canon_EF_100-400mm_f/4.5-5.6_L_IS_USM_Lens) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to an external Wiki, then please note that these links should generally not be included (see 'links to avoid' #12).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 09:42, 14 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

A tag has been placed on File:The Canon EF 24-70mm f2.8 L II USM.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.  Ronhjones  (Talk) 20:49, 19 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Nikon 24-70mm f/2.8G ED AF-S[edit]

Please note that you cannot just throw any random string of text you want into a category declaration and call the article categorized — if the category that you've added is a red link when you save the page, then that means the category does not actually exist and the article is still uncategorized. You need to find and use a category that actually exists, or leave the article tagged until somebody else finds one for you. Thanks. Bearcat (talk) 14:23, 21 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

License tagging for File:Sigma's APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM.jpg[edit]

Thanks for uploading File:Sigma's APO 70-200mm F2.8 EX DG OS HSM.jpg. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information.

To add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia. For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 07:06, 27 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion nomination of Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Quantum of Solace[edit]

Hello Johntorcasio,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Quantum of Solace for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Thanks,

Disambiguation link notification for May 6[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Omega Seamaster Planet Ocean Quantum of Solace, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Movement and Stainless (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 11:10, 6 May 2013 (UTC)[reply]
