Good work[edit]

thanks what you have been doing for Indonesian project - have had a break, good to see what has been happening! JarrahTree 08:58, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

With pleasure. Currently am trying to save orphans with templates, while correcting glaring errors. Enjoy your break. JohnThorne (talk) 17:25, 30 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Happy New Year - You are sorely missed - I am just putting a call up to.. [noticeboard] re the stubs still in the list... JarrahTree 23:16, 5 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Happy New Year. I'm still here. It takes time to gather more reliable information regarding the rivers of Indonesia, so I also do other pages. Peace. JohnThorne (talk) 00:08, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
No pressure, it was just great from last years edits - thank you so much for that... no big deal where we edit - as for trying to get around obscure items, I simply dont have easy access to details that I thought I had on the rivers... best wishes JarrahTree 00:27, 6 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]
Always good to see when you do re-emerge... JarrahTree 22:36, 30 May 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Hello, JohnThorne. Voting in the 2018 Arbitration Committee elections is now open until 23.59 on Sunday, 3 December. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to impose binding solutions to disputes between editors, primarily for serious conduct disputes the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the authority to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.

If you wish to participate in the 2018 election, please review the candidates and submit your choices on the voting page. MediaWiki message delivery (talk) 18:42, 19 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion nominations[edit]

Hello, please note that pages that aren't articles cannot be deleted by proposed deletion, so your nomination of Template:Location map/start is invalid. However, since you were the page creator and the only contributor of substantive content, I added {{db-author}} to the page. An administrator should be by shortly to delete the page (if it hasn't been deleted already). For future reference, if you want a template deleted you have to nominate it at WP:TFD unless one of the speedy deletion criteria apply. —KuyaBriBriTalk 18:44, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Kuyabribri: - Thanks. JohnThorne (talk) 18:52, 26 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Disambiguation link notification for November 27[edit]

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited Martapura River, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Martapura (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

It's OK to remove this message. Also, to stop receiving these messages, follow these opt-out instructions. Thanks, DPL bot (talk) 10:17, 27 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Corrected. Thanks. JohnThorne (talk) 18:51, 27 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Thank you very much[edit]

For your continued work on Indonesian river articles - it is much appreciated! Have a safe Christmas and new year!!! JarrahTree 15:47, 1 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@JarrahTree:: Wishing you a Merry Christmas and blessed New Year! JohnThorne (talk) 00:09, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
You would not believe how important it is to see such dedicated and well done articles on rivers it is for the project - the earlier iterations were an insult to the project and the reader. JarrahTree 00:14, 2 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
then there are still these marvels of astonishing surprise - https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Mandiri_River - hmm JarrahTree
@JarrahTree: Obviously it takes some time to catch up. JohnThorne (talk) 01:06, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
no pressure, please do not take that the wrong way - I simply wander in to find surprises in a whole range of subject areas in the Indonesian project, and find that there is the lingering effect of meaningless stubs everywhere... JarrahTree 01:08, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
@JarrahTree: There are still more than a hundred to go, but it was about a hundred less than before. JohnThorne (talk) 01:29, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
knowing how difficult some can be to verify that it truly amazing! thanks! JarrahTree 01:36, 13 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

A page you started (List of rivers of Jakarta) has been reviewed![edit]

Thanks for creating List of rivers of Jakarta.

I have just reviewed the page, as a part of our page curation process.

Good work. I've made a few minor copy-edits and Manual of Style tweaks but nothing major.

Overlinking[edit]

Hi, please don't link months (or years or centuries or other common terms). Thanks. Tony (talk) 06:06, 28 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

And: I'm finding Indonesian flags on some infoboxes (discouraged by our guidelines). Well-known country-names don't usually need to be linked, especially if there's a more specific location link. And note that degrees Celsius needs to be spaced after the value. Tony (talk) 05:03, 29 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
The articles with the above-mentioned issues have been revised. Thanks. JohnThorne (talk) 06:18, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Wish[edit]

Hello. Help improvements for article Maureen Wroblewitz. Thanks you. Pv sindhu (talk) 07:25, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]

@Pv sindhu: I don't have much information about her. Sorry, can't help. JohnThorne (talk) 07:31, 30 December 2018 (UTC)[reply]
