Thank you.

A tag has been placed on Abigail Gibbs requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done because the article, which appears to be about a real person, individual animal(s), an organization (band, club, company, etc.), or web content, does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, articles that do not indicate the subject's importance or significance may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable. If this is the first page that you have created, then you should read the guide to writing your first article.

If you think that you can assert the notability of the subject, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the article (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the article's talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would confirm the subject's notability under Wikipedia guidelines.

For guidelines on specific types of articles, you may want to check out our criteria for biographies, for web sites, for bands, or for companies. Feel free to leave a note on my talk page if you have any questions about this. 152.16.59.102 (talk) 06:25, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I have reversed this and taken it to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Abigail Gibbs. I understand you want to support Abigail, and I find that commendable in a friend. However, she may not be considered notable enough for an entry in Wikipedia until she has published, and even then she may not be considered notable enough for an entry. This process is largely out of my hands, though currently I don't believe that she should have an entry. Hopefully one day she will! I wish her all the best with her future endeavours. - Tbsdy (formerly Ta bu shi da yu) talk 14:14, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Your comment at User talk:Glenfarclas[edit]

Hi Jemimah, I've copied your comment from my talkpage to the Articles for Deletion discussion; people will see it on the AfD page, but not on my talkpage. Also, you should consider whether Abigail has received significant coverage in independent reliable sources, or has otherwise met any of the criteria of WP:AUTHOR, which is what's generally required for inclusion. If so, you should update the article to reference such sources and leave a further comment at the AfD to that effect. Regards—  Glenfarclas  (talk) 15:51, 1 February 2010 (UTC)[reply]
