File permission problem with File:FDio logo red white.png

Thanks for uploading File:FDio logo red white.png, which you've attributed to https://fdio-vpp.readthedocs.io/en/latest/. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

• make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
• Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

Wikipedia and copyright

Hello Jdenisco, and welcome to Wikipedia. All or some of your addition(s) to Draft:Vector Packet Processing have been removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without evidence of permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributions to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from sources to avoid copyright and plagiarism issues here.

Understand, though, that unlike many other sites, where a person can license their content for use there and retain non-free ownership, that is not possible at Wikipedia. Rather, the release of content must be irrevocable, to the world, into the public domain (PD) or under a suitably-free and compatible copyright license. Such a release must be done in a verifiable manner, so that the authority of the person purporting to release the copyright is evidenced. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
• In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are PD or compatibly licensed) it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied or translated without attribution. If you want to copy or translate from another Wikipedia project or article, you must follow the copyright attribution steps in Wikipedia:Translation#How to translate. Hi Jdenisco,

 You sent me a message about your draft VPP page. Not sure where to reply, so am replying to your page in kind (since you posted to my page). I'm glad I'm not the only one seeing that VPP needs represented in Wikipedia!
 Of course you can edit the page.  According to Wikipedia guidelines, be sure to reference all statements of fact and conclusions to at least some general external reference stating something similar. Your draft has lots of info, so would anticipate that any issue would be specific to just a portion of the page. Best wishes!
