University of Worcester[edit]

Your work on updating the University of Worcester article is excellent, especially providing references for all the unsourced items. When providing references, do take a look at the MOS (see above) to see how they should be inserted to display correctly in the references section of the article - there is a way to do this without them showing as naked URLs, and the retrieval date should also be provided. There is a template for doing this, although I personally prefer to do it manually - it's just as quick. Do also remember to provide a detailed edit summary of each of your edits, and if you can, make your edits in your sandbox and then post them all in one go to save cluttering the Version History list. If you are very concerned about university articles or Worcestershire articles, you may wish to join the respective Wikipdia projects. By doing so, you can keep abreast of other articles that need urgent attention of the kind you provide so well. You can find links to the projects on the large banner at the top of each article's talk page.--Kudpung (talk) 02:55, 26 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Jamesdragons. new information regarding recent developments on the University of Worcester page have been posted here: Talk:University of Worcester. if you have time, please review these changes and update anything you find to be not quite correct. I am guilty of corrupting my usual policy of grouping my edits into one posting to avoid cluttering the version history, but in this case, due to the need to carry out many comparisons without connection time-outs, it was not possible.--Kudpung (talk) 04:14, 14 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]
USE OF IMAGES: Whilst I wouldn't for a moment want to discourage you from your excellent continued attention to the University of Worcester article, I must point out that the images you uploaded on 26 January and linked to the article are lacking in even the basic information required concerning WP:FUR and copyright templates. New images a re patrolled by bots and there will be nothing much you can do about them being deleted unless you get in first and complete the iunformation required on the upload page, with of course, accurate and verifiable details.--Kudpung (talk) 15:35, 26 January 2010 (UTC)[reply]

References[edit]

Hi Jamesdragons, Your constant work to improve the University of Worcester article is much appreciated - university articles in particlular should reflect the level of education they provide and your concern to maintain the standard is excellent. I was therefore wondering if you would perhaps have time to verify athe sources nd clean up the references left in the article by anonymous contributors so that they display correctly. If you need more information how to do this, check out WP:RS, WP:V, and WP:CITE. Alternatively, you can always ask me for assistance on my talk page - maybe we could even go about this task together.--Kudpung (talk) 08:29, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Kudpung, I'll certainly take a look at the sources that have been sited and check they verify the claims they're making. I'll look at how to change the references left by anonymous users to make sure they display correctly. I'll admit I haven't used wikipedia for long, so it's probably good practice for me too! Any questions and I'll be sure to contact you. Many thanks for your continued help, I'd certainly welcome any assistance you can provide in going through this task as well.--Jamesdragons
Thanks James. Check out the links I have provided, and if anything is unclear (guidelines and policy are often confusing), don't hesitate to ask. --Kudpung (talk) 09:30, 16 April 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Worcs Uni[edit]

Hi James; I saw your recent comment on the Uni talk page and have reacted accordingly. Perhaps we should ask for some level of page protection so that only registered users can edit it, or ask for a temporary IP block. If you have time, please read this: WP:SILVERLOCK, and see if it meets the criteria for semi protection in view of its history. What do you think? --Kudpung (talk) 01:36, 2 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
