Hey JFA, Chris has responded to your comments on the article's talk page (Talk:First World). While no one expects everything you post to be perfect instantly, you really should include references for the material that is added, otherwise it will likely be removed by more judicious admins. Some will make allowances for educational assignments...and some won't. Please try to be patient and collegial in your interactions. Cheers, Nikkimaria (talk) 15:56, 30 October 2009 (UTC)[reply]

@Nikkimaria, I completely understand what you and Chris are saying. I just want to everyone to know that this is an educational assignment that we are requied to do. All of us are new to Wikipedia, we are not collegiate experts in this. Patience & collegial interactions from those who are (or consider themselves to be) experts would be appreciated, as well. On a side note, though - would you mind checking in our page every now and then and offering some suggestions or advice? Thank you!

Hey dude, you added some stuff about ICANN in the current relations sections, can you please also when u get a chance, format that source [#26] as of 11/7 - I'm not exactly sure what type of source it is etc. Rgg6 (talk) 05:08, 8 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

There is a line about ICANN that I thought you put up...it wasn't you? Rgg6 (talk) 02:09, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

As far as Kate's comment (which I can no longer find), Piotr has put up suggestions on how to veer that section back on topic... he has added more comments b/c I asked him to look at our article again. Rgg6 (talk) 16:18, 9 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey Jon, can you please check out Piotr's resources (I also sent a link by email to a search I did) and "fix" your section..or are we planning to remove that section? Rgg6 (talk) 16:45, 12 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hey I am copying this from article's talk page:

In terms of veering the globalization section back on track, I think the following few points should be addressed only:

-first world MNCs - World Trade Organization, tariffs/protectionism

-outsourcing - jobs go to cheap labor in third world countries, population in first world countries are left competing for jobs --> unemployment

-outsourcing and mncs combined makes goods cheaper and allows them to be widely accessible in first world countries, i.e. consumer society

immigration was mentioned, but I think it is adequately discussed in the "currently" section of interworld relations.

does this seem good? I basically consolidated what you had from businessweek... Rgg6 (talk) 04:42, 14 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]

You need to address those issues as soon as possible.--Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 20:38, 24 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You should rewrite it. Quotations should be used only rarely (see Wikipedia:Quotations). --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 02:13, 25 November 2009 (UTC)[reply]
As soon as your section is rewritten, you can request from the copyvio checkers (like Moonridddengirl) that they review it and if it is fine, replace the copyvio warning with it. --Piotr Konieczny aka Prokonsul Piotrus| talk 06:47, 1 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
