August 2011[edit]

Welcome to Wikipedia. We welcome and appreciate your contributions, including your edits to Holy Spirit (Christianity), but we cannot accept original research. Original research also encompasses combining published sources in a way to imply something that none of them explicitly say. Please be prepared to cite a reliable source for all of your contributions. Thank you. Elizium23 (talk) 23:43, 8 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Pauline views[edit]

Hi and welcome. Good material on Pauline views on the Holy Spirit, but please do take a look at WP:Primary for that material will eventually attract a flag to that effect, and will need WP:Secondary sources. Cheers. History2007 (talk) 16:33, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I responded on my talk page. History2007 (talk) 20:36, 14 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

notes[edit]

...the way Wikipedia works, we need WP:Secondary sources. But I do think there are sources for part of what you wrote. So I would say that it is partially supportable, given effort for finding the sources.
But you must accept that the way Wikipedia works there are thousands of users with thousands of views, and in most cases 100 different guesses as to what "truth" might be. The ultimate arbiters are WP:RS and WP:Consensus.
Please take a look here, you will see many WP:Secondary sources. I do not have time to do that for a few days, but why not start yourself, you will see various sources and will soon get used to using them. Cheers. 20:13, 14 August 2011 (UTC)

New article[edit]

Hi, I built a red link Holy Spirit in the Pauline epistles so you can start that article. I did not start it since it was your idea and it would be more appropriate for you to start it yourself. It already has a summary in the Holy Spirit article and you just need to populate it with the Pauline material you had. The Johannine material should probably be separate and can be a separate page later if you want to work on that. But the Pauline material is certainly WP:notable if you add those 3 books and will make a good article, once 2ndary refs are added. And what would be useful is to have an exact list of the the places in the 13 Pauline epistles where Spirit is mentioned. And if they get Wikisource links they will be easier to read as well. Cheers.
