Stop making articles without permission[edit]

Hi, there and I see you're new here so welcome! I've noticed several minutes ago that you created the Sinlaku article, although you reverted your own edit. We don't need an article for Sinlaku either. Next time, ask permission to someone like me, an admin or a responsible user for creating an article. Thanks and have a good day. Tropical cyclone images and pages[edit]

Please. Stop making images like this since I created the real one: JTWC wp2214.gif . Someone should spot your image and delete it and it will be soon. Tropical Storm Pewa[edit]

As I noted when I reverted your edits yesterday, Tropical Storm Pewa did not attain typhoon -- not hurricane status, by the way -- status until entering the West Pacific, which is outside the jurisdiction of the 2013 Pacific hurricane season page. Because Wikipedia's license requires attribution of previous editors, you may not copy and paste entire articles without linking the article history page and/or the revision copied from, as you did with User:Instalok/2014 Pacific typhoon season. Such pages are technically copyright violations. Also, to edit, you are expected to use proper English: this made no sense whatsoever.

I just reverted another one of your edits for this reason: [1]. Sentences begin with capital letters, and the verb "started" requires a subject. If it turns out that your edits are too much work to clean up, the community may choose to block you from editing Wikipedia; please do not make me ask for that.
Most importantly, you need to communicate effectively. You never explained why you never replied to comments such as this one. Since this project is in English, you are expected to be proficient in English. copying articles[edit]

Hello Instalok,

Two things. One, you need to take the thread at WP:ANI seriously; there are legitimate concerns with your editing, and if you do not address them, you will likely be blocked from editing. Two, when you copy an article to a page in your user space to experiment with it, you need to attribute it. I see the pages above were speedy deleted; you can recreate them as long as you give attribution, similar to the way I did here. Also, you need to remove the categories, since those are only for articles in article space, as I did here. As long as you do that, there is no problem copying articles to a page in your user space. Hi Instalok, I hope you don't mind a few comments from an uninvolved observer here, and I don't want to offend you but I have to be honest. Your command of English is really not very good, and I, along with others, find it very hard to understand what you are saying. If you cannot speak English well enough to hold a meaningful conversation with native English speakers, then you really do not have the ability to help develop an English language encyclopedia. Wikipedia has other language editions, such as in Tagalog, and for now, I strongly suggest that you contribute to a Wikipedia where you know the language well. The problem is not your intentions, but your lack of proficiency with English, which has hindered your ability to communicate effectively on the English Wikipedia. User:RHaworth would probably appreciate it if you answered his questions (see his comment, above Squinge's comment). However it must be stressed that we cannot understand all of what you are saying because it does not make sense to us. It's for primarily this reason that you have been blocked from editing. Hi RHaworth, I don't really care if Instalok is blocked for a week or not - there seem to be competence problems and he doesn't seem to be replying adequately - but why are you re-deleting his sandbox version of User:Instalok/2014 Pacific typhoon season? People copy versions of articles into their user space to fiddle with them all the time, and it isn't a copyright infringement if the original source is attributed. I made such an attribution last night.     • @RHaworth: I guess it doesn't matter that you haven't answered my question, since from context I gather the answer is: "It isn't actually G12, I'm just saying that because it's on a pull-down menu and I don't feel like typing 'user is goofing around' by hand".   • don't fight, as while blocked, the categories on SSHWS much unofficial due to 2006,07,08,09 and 10. my categories on 2011,12,13,14 and 2015-present are corrected using NOAA, and the SSHWS on 2013,14 and 2015-present are corrected too using Typhoon2013 scales. 8:25, 4 February 2015 (PST)
    • Your "corrected" categories were wrong for the most part. For example, Typhoon Rammasun was Category 4, not 5. Furthermore Typhoon2013's scale is not the SSHWS and has no official status. If you feel like you have valid corrections to add to articles, you should work with other editors like Typhoon2013 to insert the corrections into the articles in question. Your userspace is not for storing your preferred revisions of those articles, per WP:FAKEARTICLE.--Jasper Deng (talk) 15:17, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]
      • Both JMA and JTWC are different, for example, The scale of Severe Tropical Storm Fengshen, as Typhoon2013 was classified an typhoon. but, the JMA peaked as 10-minute sustained winds, and the JTWC (or Saffir-Simpson hurricane wind scale) are classified Fengshen as Tropical Storm, but NOAA was on JMA's partner, or part of the scale. 6:53, 5 February 2015 (PST)
        • The SSHWS cannot be applied to 10-minute winds, as you surely know, so you cannot apply it to the JMA's readings. JTWC and NOAA's data on 1-minute winds are the same set of data files, so they will never disagree on SSHWS categorization. The term "tropical storm" on one scale is not necessarily equivalent to "tropical storm" on another, so it is not a matter of "right" or "wrong" categories.--Jasper Deng (talk) 22:59, 4 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

            • I don't understand what you're asking; JTWC and NOAA use the same wind data, to which SSHWS can be applied. In any case, there was no reason to create those pages (@Typhoon2013: this applies to you too) because of WP:FAKEARTICLE. When your edits to a page are disputed, you shouldn't copy the article solely for keeping a version that conforms to how you want it, unless you intend to merge your version into the original article at a later point.--Jasper Deng (talk) 01:21, 5 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have once again properly attributed User:Instalok/2014 Pacific typhoon season for you. This is exactly the same problem I explained above. This is the last time I will do this for you. The next time, I will assume you do not understand enough about how this site works to edit here, and I will block you indefinitely.

Keep in mind that a similar warning applies to all the other information people have been trying to tell you in the last few weeks.
