GA nom[edit]

Hi, ImperatorExericitus. You nominated England as a Good Article, but it was kinda premature.

This shows you've edited the article less than 10 times and had never edited it before late yesterday; in fact, on a closer look, it looked like you nominated it before having touched it. Articles containing multiple cleanup tags, and other significant content problems, cannot pass as a GA. I removed it from the nominations list and explained why on the article's talk page as that seemed the best course of action in this case.

Your enthusiasm for pushing articles on the 'pedia toward GA is admirable. If you intend on nominating or reviewing articles in the future though, you should please first make sure that you are familiar with the criteria and how they are applied to the article under review. You can find information on that at WIAGA (also RGA) and GNGA. Thank you kindly. –Whitehorse1 13:16, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for the feedback! Now that I look back on it, it does seem sorta early...anyways, I'm going to work on it for some time, and then renominate it after all the issues on the talk page have been fixed. Again, thank you! Cheers. Imperat§ r(Talk) 13:36, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
You're most welcome—and props for taking the feedback graciously! :) Good luck with the article; it looks like a project big enough to keep someone busy for months! –Whitehorse1 16:07, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Heh...I'll probably take a few months; anyways, I've formatted a list for the Engineering and Innovation and replaced a bunch of bad refs w/ better ones (mainly books now) Cheers. Imperat§ r(Talk) 16:15, 8 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

how did you get the number of links to update on the Wikipedia:Disambiguation_pages_with_links page[edit]

--Anshuk (talk) 04:17, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Well, I actually counted the remaining ones manually, which can be easily done by setting the limit to 1000+ and then reducing the numbers with each go. For example, 1000, then 500, then 100, then ~3. Cheers. Imperat§ r(Talk) 12:53, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
what the? you gotta be kidding.. :) Thanks anyways. --Anshuk (talk) 15:18, 9 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Admin Coaching (Again)[edit]

Well, aside from the admins listed at the coaching page, a post to WT:RFA might attract some willing admins. Regards, –Juliancolton Tropical Cyclone 01:36, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Noel Park[edit]

I've undone this edit. I'm not sure what you were trying to do here, but it hasn't worked; as far as I can see every single change has either made the prose more awkward ("located in", "all property had"), or changed the meaning to something completely inaccurate ("although the river was culverted soon afterwards, land between the river and Lordship Lane developed". – iridescent 22:22, 11 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks![edit]

Thanks for the review at WP:ER! I'll keep what you said in mind. When you say I've had edit-conflicts with you, d'you mean with Huggle? Antivenin 11:46, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Beano/done Cheers. Imperat§ r(Talk) 12:50, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Ouch! So I'd guess you aren't using Huggle? Huggle's pretty fast. Anyway. Apologies for that one. =P I'll go a bit slower next time. :) Antivenin 13:36, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Okay then. We'll talk later. Cheers. Antivenin 13:38, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Re: Brachistrone[edit]

It makes no difference to me, although the user may have been looking for the real article to do his homework and wrote this when he/she couldn't find it. Also, I thought WP:HOMEWORK applies only to help and reference desks. Admiral Norton (talk) 18:05, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Oh, thanks for the heads-up, I didn't even notice that the banner was still there. Admiral Norton (talk) 21:25, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Burning of the Valleys[edit]

Besides sharing a name - the book you linked to in the AFD for that article seems to be about a completely unconnected series of events. Can you elaborate further the connect between the two? --Cameron Scott (talk) 22:18, 13 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Beano/done Cheers. Imperat§ r(Talk) 02:08, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Please restore this article which has not had adequate discussion per the normal AFD process. In particular, discussions should remain open for 5 days. Colonel Warden (talk) 11:00, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

User:Beano/done

Pringle is certainly real and so the article should have been stubbed and kept for improvement per WP:IMPERFECT. Please could you userfy it for me. Colonel Warden (talk) 13:41, 14 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks[edit]

is a copyvio. It might be a good idea to check when there is no wikimarkup on the page at all. LetsdrinkTea 01:57, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Fair enough. However, I Prodded it for inclusion, which it also meets. :) Cheers. I'mperator 01:59, 20 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

AFC/R[edit]

I know it's a pain, but do you know that we we try to keep track of all articles (including redirects) created through AFC? For redirects you can just add

{{WPAFC|class=redir}}

to the talkpage. By the way, thanks for all your good work in the project! — Martin (MSGJ · talk) 07:02, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Did You Know question[edit]

Hello! Your submission of Bovista nigrescens at the Did You Know nominations page has been reviewed, and there still are some issues that may need to be clarified. Please review the comment(s) underneath your nomination's entry and respond there as soon as possible. Thank you for contributing to Did You Know! Art LaPella (talk) 22:10, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

 Done Or should I say, fixed :P Cheers. I'mperator 22:28, 23 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks (DYK)[edit]

Hi, thanks for verifying my entry at Template talk:Did you know (about Arthur W. Ryder). And thanks also for saying "nice work". :-) Shreevatsa (talk) 01:13, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hey, no problem! :) Could you return the favour by reviewing my DYK submissions? They're the Bovista nigrescens and Agaricus lilaceps articles under March 22. Thanks in advance! Cheers. I'mperator 13:48, 24 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Hello, sorry I took so long to reply. I was told that "returning the favour" was somewhat frowned upon, and I saw that your hooks have already been verified now (great!), so I decided to pay it forward instead and verified some 5–7 hooks :) Cheers, Shreevatsa (talk) 00:23, 26 March 2009 (UTC) (Also, feel free to move this back to my talk page if you'd rather it stay there than here.)[reply]
Meh...no problem ;) In fact, I've just gone and verified a few more hooks too =D Cheers. I'mperator 00:24, 26 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Possibly unfree File:Agaricus lilaceps veil.JPG[edit]

A file that you uploaded or altered, File:Agaricus lilaceps veil.JPG, has been listed at Wikipedia:Possibly unfree files because its copyright status is unclear or disputed. If the file's copyright status cannot be verified, it may be deleted. You may find more information on the file description page. You are welcome to add comments to its entry at the discussion if you are interested in it not being deleted. Thank you. Again, with File:Agaricus lilaceps.JPG, there is no indication on the website that the material is released under the GFDL. A great source for free images of mushrooms (if there aren't any on Wikimedia Commons) is Mushroom Observer. Any of the images uploaded under CC-by-SA-3.0 (but NOT CC-by-NC-SA-3.0) may be used freely. If you still can't find anything, try listing it at Wikipedia:FUNGI#Pictures. You're welcome to contact me on my talk page if I can be of any help. J Milburn (talk) 17:03, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks! Sorry I uploaded the two images; I must have misread the copyright :/ Thanks for uploading the image that is now in use for Agaricus lilaceps! :D For some odd reason, mushroom observer isn't working for me...Could you delete the two unfree images for me? Thanks. Cheers. I'mperator 17:05, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Mushroom Observer is a little slow at times. I'll delete those images now, thanks for understanding. J Milburn (talk) 17:19, 30 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
