Hello, Iaroslavny, and welcome to Wikipedia! My name is Yunshui, and I am your Online Ambassador for Prof. Hughes' Theater History course. My job here is to help you to work within Wikipedia's policies and guidelines, to answer any questions that you have about editing here, and to act as your advocate in the (unlikely) event that you find yourself in a dispute with another user. I have a BA in Theatre (not a typo; I'm a Brit!) from years back, so I'm looking forward to working with you guys on this project.

You are welcome to contact me at any time by leaving a message on my Wikipedia talkpage or by emailing me. I will respond to any messages within 24 hours (though I aim to be faster!), but if you need more immediate help, you can ask questions of experienced editors at The Teahouse or get live help via Wikipedia's IRC channel (connect here). You can also contact your Wikipedia Campus Ambassador, DGG, at his user talkpage.

Here are some pages that you might find helpful:

Please remember to sign your messages on talk pages by typing four tildes (~~~~); this will automatically insert your username and the date. Once again, if you need help with any aspect of Wikipedia, please just ask; it's what I'm here for. Enjoy your course! Yunshui  08:54, 11 February 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Your draft[edit]

Hi Iaroslavny. I noticed that you're using your userpage to create a draft article. That's not in itself a problem, but you may find you run into difficulties when you need to move it into article space - userpage moves can cause problems if you don't know exactly what you're doing. I'd be happy to help you with the page move when you're ready - just drop me a note on my talkpage - or if you prefer, I can shift it to a more appropriate page within your userspace while you work on it. Let me know either way. All the best, Yunshui  08:31, 12 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Iaroslavny. I see that you've copy-pasted the content on your userpage into mainspace to create an article. That's not technically the correct process to follow, but since attribution for the content has been preserved, I don't see any reason to reverse your actions.

The article as it stands is in serious danger of deletion however, as it does not appear to meet Wikipedia's inclusion requirements. You will need to add reliable sources to the page as soon as possible in order to preserve it. The text also requires some copyediting; I will try and deal with that myself later today. Yunshui  08:55, 14 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

The article Alla Kigel has been proposed for deletion because it appears to have no references. Under Wikipedia policy, this newly created biography of a living person will be deleted unless it has at least one reference to a reliable source that directly supports material in the article.

If you created the article, please don't be offended. Instead, consider improving the article. For help on inserting references, see Referencing for beginners, or ask at the help desk. Once you have provided at least one reliable source, you may remove the {{prod blp}} tag. Please do not remove the tag unless the article is sourced. If you cannot provide such a source within ten days, the article may be deleted, but you can request that it be undeleted when you are ready to add one. -- Patchy1 REF THIS BLP 01:28, 16 March 2013 (UTC)[reply]

I'm sorry. I'm still working on it. I'm found a lot of references I just trying to figure it out how to put them in.

For example this is some of the websites I'm looking to put in as a references: http://www.krugozormagazine.com/archive/2008.9.html http://www.playbill.com/news/article/56891-Chekhov-Now-Now-Festival-of-Russian-Writers-Works-Ends-Nov-19 http://feb-web.ru/feb/lermenc/lre-abc/

Moved your sandbox[edit]

Hi Iaroslavny. Just a note to let you know that I've moved the page Template:IaroslavNY/sandbox to User:Iaroslavny/sandbox2 - the Template namespace isn't the right place to put a sandbox article! Your original sandbox is still available at User:Iaroslavny/sandbox. Cheers, Yunshui  07:31, 4 April 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Help us improve the Wikipedia Education Program[edit]

Hi Iaroslavny! As a student editor on Wikipedia, you have a lot of valuable experience about what it's like to edit as a part of a classroom assignment. In order to help other students like you enjoy editing while contributing positively to Wikipedia, it's extremely helpful to hear from real student editors about their challenges, successes, and support needs. Please take a few minutes to answer these questions by clicking below. (Note that the responses are posted to a public wiki page.) Thanks!
