Sockpuppet[edit]

It's obvious from the first edit being an RfA comment that this account is a single purpose, and possibly a sockpuppet account. —AldeBaer 15:46, 15 August 2007 (UTC)

No sockpuppet[edit]

Even if I don't need to justify myself: I'm no sockpuppet. Additionally I don't think users with a higher edit count are better or worse than others—Every Wikipedia user has had some first action at some point of time. My first action is to help enforcing the Neutral_point_of_view rule that I expect from Wikipedia, even as a reader. That's not the point of my account (I'm more interested in CS topics), I just stumbled upon it. Hypotroph 19:18, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Ah, well heaven knows we could use better CS coverage :) Given that a fair amount of canvassing occured off-wiki with respect to Crockspot's adminship request, a more reasonable accusation would be one of meatpuppetry. (Possibly still an untrue one.) But forgetting all of that, RFA is meant to get a cross-section of the community—not a cross-section of the Internet. I certainly agree that transparency is a good thing, but newer accounts may be given less weight in RFAs, since they may not be as familiar with the community. The systematic way in which this happens can be unfortunate, but I merely suggest that you don't get involved in RFA first thing. Your vote, nonetheless, is noted.
Well, despite this controversy, I would like to welcome you to Wikipedia—the drama of the site can be a little overwhelming at times, but I hope you'll find the task of encyclopedia-building to be a pleasant one. Category:Computer science contains articles about computer sciences and a recursive subcategory system. You could also look at the category of your favorite programming language... mine is Java, with Category:Java programming language. If you have the time, feel free to peruse Wikipedia:About and Help:Contents. Happy editing! GracenotesT § 20:12, 15 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]

I finally made my first sensible edits. Whew.Hypotroph (talk) 18:57, 23 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]
