Dear Shyamal, Thanks for your invitation to cooperate in de Birds wikiproject. As you probably saw, my contributions are mainly to the Dutch wiki. I prefer contributing to nl-wiki, but there where Dutch research(ers)/illustrators are involved I do also contribute to en-wiki. And I always will give advise or doing research to disclose Dutch sources that are internationally relevant.

Concerning the Sitta's, I saw the the label of the Corsican nuthatch has changed. My question, does the male Corsican not have a darker crown?

When those illustrations were made, my Inkscape (=SVG) knowledge was limited and my guiding source illustrations were also not very good. I certainly must revisit all those and see if I can improve them. In the meantime, we replaced the illustration on Corsican Nuthatch with a classic chromolithograph by Keulemans (another Dutchman!) with access to skins and definitely more accurate. My own opinion whether it is a species or a subspecies does not matter. In this case as well the IOC list as well the BirdLife list consider this as a species. HWN 17:15, 24 September 2019 (UTC)
