Your addition to Hague School[edit]

Thank you for your contribution, at least I think it is yours.. I have done much of the previous editing of the Hague School article and have not looked at it for some time. When I did, I was surprised to see the section on The Hague and Düsseldorf. Although it is a very important school in German art, I have not found other material on the possible influence on painters of the Hague School, Certainly the 4 you mention may have gone there, but were certainly more influenced by The Barbizon school, where they were certainly influenced by more than just a visit. If the Dusseldorf school was distinguished by bright color, that certainly did not affect the Hague School artists to a great extent.

I also think the English could be improved, if the paragraph is to be retained . The first paragraph does not require the information about the Dusseldorf school , such as Later, in the "Düsseldorf art association" an exhibition took place on the subject "Fishing place of Scheveningen". It concerned such names like Carl Hilgers, Hermann Mevius, Carl Adloff and Andreas Achenbach. – The subject "Low Tide" of Andreas Achenbach of 1837 is a most famous one. A link to that school in the suggested sentence below should be is sufficient

A sentence like the one below or a similar one might be included at some other point in the article and the paragraph on The Hague and Dusseldorf could be omitted.

Some of the Hague School artists, such as Johannes Bosboom, J. W. Bilders, Jozef Israels and Philipp Sadee, visited Dusseldorf and were exposed to the works of the Dusseldorf School.

Generally images from museums have very well documented information on Commons

Hello Hirschfeldt, I have enjoyed reading your contributions about Dutch painters! I noticed that you have tried to upload some images here, but it is better if you do this on Commons using the upload link there. On uploading, you can place the image into the proper category for the artist's name. So for example, this image of a painting by Nicolaas van der Waay could be uploaded into c:Category:Nicolaas van der Waay. After uploading, you can then edit the file to add any extra information, such as inscriptions or former owners. Click on one of the other images in that category for inspiration. In this case, the English Wikipedia doesn't have an article on this artist yet, but he is well documented in other languages. It is possible to make an article stub for him using a Wikidata tool to prepare a biography, or PrepBio. To locate Dutch artist names on Commons who are probably already be on Wikidata, look here. I hope you decide to stay and improve more articles about Dutch artists. If you have any questions you can ask me here or on my talk page, or ask a question at the WP:WikiProject Visual arts talk page. Jane (talk) 10:43, 20 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
