Speedy deletion nomination of Quantium Solutions[edit]

Hello Hieutrung.trinh,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Quantium Solutions for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions. Juhuyuta (talk) 13:57, 27 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Quantium Solutions, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become encyclopedic. Please read the guidelines on spam and Wikipedia:FAQ/Organizations for more information.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, you can place a request here. SFK2 (talk) 04:03, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Notability and promotion[edit]

The problem was that some of the phrases in the article came across as what we call "buzz words" that are considered to be promotional in tone. Sentences like "It offers customized logistic solutions" are the type of thing that's fine in press releases, but not in Wikipedia articles. However the other problem was that I didn't see where it passes WP:CORP. You need to have coverage in reliable sources per WP:RS, which I didn't see. You need coverage in places that are independent of the subject and aren't routine database type listings. Tokyogirl79 (。◕‿◕。) 08:25, 1 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]

If a company does offer customized logistics solutions then its a fact not a buzz word! The problem with using "buzz word" criteria is that its too broad/general a criteria to be applied objectively. What may seem buzz word to you may be perfect industry language for those who are part of the industry.
To your point about notability please help me understand howBlue Dart Aviation and Khimji Poonja are notable enough whereas Quantium Solutions, a wholly owned subsidiary of Singapore Post Limited is not? Hieutrung.trinh (talk) 07:10, 3 April 2014 (UTC)[reply]
