Connection_Pointe_Christian_Church_of_Brownsburg_(logo).jpg

Can you help me remove this? You recently edited this. It's our old logo and it linking into our google page. Thank you. B.Reeves (talk) 03:20, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

@B.Reeves: I only edited it because you blanked it. Blanking is not the solution for removing photos. As well, just because it's an old logo doesn't mean it has to get removed and I am unsure if that is justifiable. I suggest trying WP:HELPDESK. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 03:22, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
@B.Reeves: I also want to mention that if you have a conflict of interest you shouldn't be editing that article. Check out WP:COI. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 03:26, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

Goodness gracious

I've never seen a page experience rapid-fire vandalism like that before. Literally multiple times per second. Insane. Lizard (talk) 04:59, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

Same, I was thinking the same thing. Could it be a spam bot? HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 05:00, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
It's a perfect storm I think. Prime-time, involved s superstar player, the long stare-down, the studio analysts replaying it multiple times. Lizard (talk) 05:03, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
I normally see death jokes I just thought this was wayyyy too fast. Of course no one is working page protection when we need it huh. That's how life works. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 05:04, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
Even with rollback I can't keep it :/. Good luck, don't get trampled! HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 05:06, 1 March 2018 (UTC)
Reminds me of the time Malcolm Butler was burned during last year's Super Bowl and i had to singlehandedly hold down the fort. But even that hardly compares to this. Lizard (talk) 05:09, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

Please stop and do not revert my contributions, that article is off reality. You are not helping but obstructing, I live in Richmond Hights. I bet you dont. So claerly you dont care.

I don't see what living in the city has to do with good editing. You a) aren't using edit summaries to explain removals b) copied and pasted c) are telling people to go to an external website instead of using own words. It doesn't matter where you live, that is not how Wikipedia works. I left you some helpful links about contributing to Wikipedia, please read them. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 07:51, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi! In this article https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Antonio_Mateu_Lahoz&action=history all today changes need reverting. I was trying to do that, but wasn't savvy enough. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2A01:110F:4503:9200:E170:D27A:453F:A64B (talk) 22:38, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

Ah, thanks for letting me know and thanks for your help! I'll try and find the clean version. I am currently looking for sources to help add to the article. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 22:40, 1 March 2018 (UTC)

Hi, the information under personal life that relates to a driving under the influence relates to George Edwards NOT Michael Edwards, and I would like for it to be removed.

Also, He avoided conviction and a criminal record by completing a diversion program for the Tennessee incident in 2013. If you look up his criminal record online you will see that he doesn't have one. How do I get that updated also?

@Bryanross22: Yes I have removed the George Edwards content and you can add the diversion program after the ""He pleaded down to a lesser charge and was sentenced to two years probation" part. I just want to let you know that it was fine for you to add positive content, the problem was just you removed negative content to do so and it was unsourced. I see you added this link (https://websta.me/n/ginnelite) which doesn't specifically state Edwards works there. Please find a reliable source that shows he does. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 06:40, 4 March 2018 (UTC)

Good job cleaning that article. Feel free to revert or change my edit on the stock price, I'm not attached to it. I looked at a 3 charts and saw that it never reached the high that was in there and pulled that promo high. TVGarfield (talk) 03:55, 5 March 2018 (UTC)

@TVGarfield: Thanks for your help! I don't really know much about business market growth so your understanding of those charts was probably better than mine would've been. I don't think the article qualifies for deletion, I personally think them owning the Chinese rights to the NBA website/that Skype deal is pretty notable, however, it definitely needed to get cut down. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 03:58, 5 March 2018 (UTC)
Oh and that user was a COI. Another editor reported them to UAA. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 04:00, 5 March 2018 (UTC)

The heights on nhl.com are based on how players inform them and not by real measurements. Instead on the reference (the one I linked to the article) the measurements were taken from NHL combine fitness test primer so this time the measurements must be accurate. Also you can't just think that the article is "wrong" if it's 2 years old because Laine has probably not grown any height after that. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 91.156.29.136 (talk) 04:12, 8 March 2018 (UTC)

Look, the article is 2 years old, people can grow. Also Wikipedia goes on sources, not on truth. I doubt a two year old article is more reliable than Elite Prospects and NHL.com. Take to talk page. I don't want to argue over this, however, if you can find more sources (preferably recent ones) that show he is currently 6'4 that would be beneficial. While I agree the combine is a good source, it was two years ago and there are many competing, reliable articles that say otherwise. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 04:13, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
I also want to note that I didn't revert you but another editor did, I just fixed the citation. This is more appropriate for the articles talk page (Talk:Patrik Laine) HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 04:16, 8 March 2018 (UTC)
I've been thinking of this and have done some extensive research about height accuracy. I am unsure what other editors will think, I also cannot prove/disprove he didn't grow, but after some readings, scoping blogs and articles etc. the combine might be okay. A lot of articles on Wiki go based on nhl.com and I am proposing you take it to the talk page because a lot of people will contest this throughout the years (Laine's page will grow more popular as he continues to play in the NHL, people will see NHL.com's height and fix it on Wiki) so that is why a consensus has to be reached on the Wiki's article talk page. I am trying to remain neutral, it really doesn't matter to me whether it's 6'4 or 6'5, although my default is usually to go with what NHL.com says. Wiki is a collaborative project and I am not about to war with someone over 1 foot. Other editors may feel more passionate than I do though, for example I was not the one to revert you so people do have opposing opinions, so make sure you visit the talk page. Barnstar for you!

The Anti-Vandalism Barnstar
Congrats, your fourth barnstar. Also, just thought I'd add we just lost to you guys... gg... Snidester (talk) 02:16, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
@Snidester: Aww thanks! I'm glad you're enjoying editing Wiki (although I am unsure what you mean by "we lost to you guys" as I haven't reported anyone to AIV for a few hours). HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 02:22, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
I'm talking about the leafs game. I'm a stars fan, remember? And yes, I have been enjoying editing, but I haven't been able to recently. Schoolwork. Snidester (talk) 02:26, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
Oh, right!! That's so funny because I was just watching that game and am actually just waiting for Sportsnet to post an article about JVR's hat-trick so I can update his page. Thanks, although Anderson was injured, :-) HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 02:34, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
I'm updating a few articles and templates. We're still in the wildcards tho, but if the Ducks (games on right now) or the Flames (2 days from now) win in Overtime, they'll knock us out atleast for the time being. Snidester (talk) 03:05, 15 March 2018 (UTC)
Aw well good luck! I'll send you a beer if that happens. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 03:13, 15 March 2018 (UTC)

IP 38.27.128.203

Saw revert of this IP. They have been wrecking havoc on Bengals related articles. Changing numbers etc. Multiple instances of WP:OR. I've reported then to be blocked but no response yet. Hopefully something comes soon because this IP is getting annoying.--Rockchalk717 19:58, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

Sounds good! HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 19:59, 16 March 2018 (UTC)

Pings

Hello. Since you mentioned it elsewhere, pings only work if they are added in an edit which also includes a signature at the same time. Just thought you would like to know. Grayfell (talk) 01:24, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

Ohhhh, right, that makes sense! The person was a new user and they didn't sign. Thank you so much. My goodness, just when I thought I got a handle on things. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 01:25, 17 March 2018 (UTC)

Accidental Revert

Sorry about that, we must have both hit revert at the same time :) RandomAct(talk to me)

@RandomAct: Haha it's all good, I've done that before. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 04:03, 19 March 2018 (UTC)

Greenbrier

Hi. Thanks for notifying me, but for your own best interest, it's not a good idea to notify one editor of a talk discussion. Much better to do what I did, and see the copy I used at either project talk. Just got done with a very very painful and drawn out discussion with a very difficult editor that ended with him topic banned, partially for CANVAS. If you are notifying individual editors, the only safe way to go is to notify all active editors that have ever participated at the particular talk. Here, that was a null. I've got a bit of a reputation of really strongly opposing discussion of news anywhere on Wikipedia, and I'm hoping one editor in particular doesn't make a point of that. On a related subject, I dropped a NOTFORUM warning on the red letter editor's talk. That was more than a bit over the top. Sexual assault? Really? If that's the case, I was raped repeatedly in school. Finally, just wanted to let you know, you're doing a great job around here. Thanks. John from Idegon (talk) 01:44, 20 March 2018 (UTC)

@John from Idegon: Thank you very much for the information. On a side note, I do believe the other editor was saying that being spanked can lead in the future to students being less resistant to sexual assault, not that the paddling itself was sexual assault. I just opposed that because I felt it was too much speculation/undue weight on the school. Now that I know about that talk page you posted I will use that from now on. I apologize, I only knew you worked with schools and did not want to post something controversial without an experienced editor viewing it. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 01:50, 20 March 2018 (UTC)

Daniela Vega

Well I read the original article and nowhere in it is it mentioned the fact that "she" is in fact a he. I thought it should be in there somewhere, otherwise the whole article is fictitious, dont you think?

The way you added it was completely inappropriate. There is currently a discussion on the talk page about making it better, feel free to join in on the conversation. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 02:23, 20 March 2018 (UTC)

well the truth is inappropriate sometime. I still think it should be noted in there somehow. Let's not cave to the present-day liberal hypersensitivity and hide the facts: "she" is no she. So feel free to add it in there in an "appropriate" way my friend. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 69.254.189.85 (talk) 02:26, 20 March 2018 (UTC)

Ryan Driller

This article contains defamatory and untrue statements. The changes made were to correct that, and were by no means "vandalism". I'm very sad that you reverted back to the previous changes. What can be done about this? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Kontrolledkaos (talkcontribs) 01:05, 21 March 2018 (UTC)

@Kontrolledkaos: Discuss the changes on the talk page: Talk:Ryan Driller‎, since the information is sourced and I am not the only editor who reverted you.HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 01:07, 21 March 2018 (UTC)

Help me

I'm done with edit warring. I removed content from the article Shilpa Anand because I want to add new informations with new content and references. But you not leting me do this. Now help me to edit the aricle Shilpa Anand.--157.185.130.61 (talk) 10:25, 16 February 2018 (UTC)

Hello, it is very late here and I am going away on vacation so I suggest asking @Bonadea: because they reverted your edit first. However, I suggest reading their comment on the revert [1] first as that explains generally why we both disagree with your additions. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 10:28, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
Hey HickoryOughtShirt, thanks for cleaning up the article. The IP is a sock of a blocked user, and I and other editors have spent hours trying to explain to the sockmaster and their various sockpuppets why the text they want to include is inappropriate, why the sources they add are not reliable, and why they are not allowed to create new accounts or use IPs when their original account was blocked. At this point I am not prepared to spend more time telling them the same thing yet again, I'm afraid. I hope you'll have a good vacation! --bonadea contributions talk 17:07, 16 February 2018 (UTC)
@Bonadea: they're back at it again, they removed a huge section from the page already. I'm on my phone so frustratingly I cannot do the huge revert that needs to get done on that page. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 09:50, 22 March 2018 (UTC)
The word we are looking for is "grr", I think. Thanks for the heads-up - I'll have a look. --bonadea contributions talk 10:00, 22 March 2018 (UTC)

Hey, sorry about that edit (where I made the Ducks owners of the Flames) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 174.67.236.59 (talk) 01:16, 23 March 2018 (UTC)

That's okay, just try to make constructive edits in the future. I'm going to drop some helpful links on your user page to help you. HickoryOughtShirt?4 (talk) 01:18, 23 March 2018 (UTC)
