Wikipedia asshattery[edit]

I love how my Talk page is a living record of the bot based bureaucracy that makes Wikipedia such a shitty place. Hackaday (talk) 01:43, 27 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for uploading or contributing to Image:The Book of Mozilla 8-20.png. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia constitutes fair use. Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale.

If you have uploaded other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'image' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "Image" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. wL<speak·check> 00:54, 23 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Speedy deletion declined: Rizzn[edit]

Hello Hackaday, and thanks for your work patrolling new changes. I am just informing you that I declined the speedy deletion of Rizzn - a page you tagged - because: There arae some credible assertions of notability, enough for A7. PROD or take to AfD if required. Please review the criteria for speedy deletion before tagging further pages. If you have any questions or problems, please let me know. GedUK  22:21, 9 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Prod removed: Zick Rubin[edit]

Hello. The prod you added at Zick Rubin was removed by an IP editor. Rubin is quite notable, and I have expanded the article a bit since you added the tag. Please take a look and see if you believe it still merits prod or an AfD nomination. I believe it's clear that he passes WP:PROF, as people still cite his pioneering work almost 40 years later. If you add it again, please note that the article was not "created for a Boing Boing article," but because we did not have one. I create many biographies, and I am pretty certain this one will survive an AfD challenge. You are welcome to nominate it, though. Thanks. Jokestress (talk) 02:04, 14 March 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Contribution to the HMS Leviathan[edit]

Welcome, and thank you for your attempt to lighten up Wikipedia. However, this is an encyclopedia and the articles are intended to be serious, so please don't make joke edits. Readers looking for accurate information will not find them amusing. If you'd like to experiment with editing, try the sandbox, where you can write practically anything you want.

While the listing of the HMS Leviathan inflatable slide was entertaining, it wasn't particularly encyclopedic, and it definitely wasn't one of the four Royal Navy ships named the HMS Leviathan. poroubalous (talk) 04:21, 29 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
