Pommern

Hello, I replied on my talk page as I like to keep discussions in one place. Thanks. Parsecboy (talk) 10:59, 7 April 2011 (UTC)

Huh?

Why did you add this? Ed [talk] [majestic titan] 02:40, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

I'm a little curious what you meant by that as well, as the claim is by definition false (specifically, the ship was sunk by an American submarine in combat). Parsecboy (talk) 03:10, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
How are water tests supposed to be combat actions? She did not launch any aircraft, nor did she made depth-charged attacks against Archer Fish. Come to think though, she's the largest aircraft carrier to be sunk in history (infact, she was more than twice the size of Yorktown. More on that later. hmssolent\Let's convene 03:15, 11 April 2011 (UTC)
That is a very narrow view - are you telling me the midget submarine rammed and sunk by USS Ward was not sunk in combat because it did not attempt to torpedo the destroyer first? And carriers don't carry depth charges - they rely on escorts for ASW. Parsecboy (talk) 03:32, 11 April 2011 (UTC)

Hi HMSSolent/Archive 1. Thank you for patrolling new pages. Patrolling is an essential function at Wikipedia, not only to prevent the wrong kind of pages staying online, but also to do some basic research and tag them for attention. Tagging the page Akeans in just six minutes was too fast, and the appropriate tag would have been speedy deletion. There is currently a drive to improve the quality of patrolling - you can help. Please read these pages, preferably in this order: WP:NPP, WP:DELETION, WP:CSD, WP:10CSD, WP:FIELD, and WP:A7M, before you patrol anymore pages, and if there's anything that is not clear, don't hesitate to ask me on my talk page. You may even wish to make your own suggestions for improvement. Happy editing!

You incorrectly tagged it as a A7. I changed it to a G11, which is for unambiguous advertising.

If you saw the bottom of the page, it had a phone number, address, website, email, and fax. Thank you. --43?9enter ☭msg☭contribs 03:50, 17 April 2011 (UTC)

Hello, HMS and welcome to Wikipedia. I see you're new here, and that's great, there's still loads of articles waiting to be created and loads of articles which need improving. I just wanting to caution you about nominating for deletion articles that are one minute old. The creator will usually still be working on them. In this case, it was obviously a mistake as the article was already reliably referenced and the context was clear. It's difficult to patrol pages that new. Thanks for taking an interest in it though, and it's good to see people interested in the pruning side of things. Best wishes, Boleyn (talk) 07:14, 22 April 2011 (UTC)

No worries. I'll clean it up for you if you would like to. ;) hmssolent\Let's convene 07:17, 22 April 2011 (UTC)
