Hello - apologies for not writing a reason. I removed the citation because "the insurrectionary messages of the speakers was dissonant with the relative amenities of the sports venue" doesn't make sense - why are amenities of a sports venue dissonant with insurrectionary messages? Would it have been more appropriate if the bathrooms didn't work or something? If you're simply saying that it was unusual that it was held in a stadium instead of in the streets, for example, it can simply state that, otherwise it sounds too much like a judgement to me. Clarification for citation removal[edit]

Hi Guitarist28,

I removed a citation that you reverted because it was for a journal article published a month ago that is not prevalent in the field. Moreover, the citation was added by an author of the article itself (based on his username) and appears to be an attempt to publicize his own work. I looked into the article and it has no citations and I can't find any information about the authors being reputable academics in the field. I work in the field and have never seen reference to this article as a source for the cited information. It's not the size of the article that matters, however as stated in the AfD Masini meets WP:NOLYMPICS which states: Athletes from any sport are presumed notable if they have competed at the modern Olympic Games, including the Summer Olympics (since 1896) or the Winter Olympics (since 1924). And @ST47 and Ed6767: All too often I feel like admins refuse to give users second chances. This time, I wish that you would please give in and give this user a chance. Run a checkuser investigation on me; I'm not a sock of Wyatt2049! The only thing I can admit to is being 2601:18e:c400:a020:d4bc:ac8f:3356:2fc1, 2601:18e:c400:a020:1c58:7b0e:b936:db3c, ‎2601:18e:c400:a020:905f:dcec:83d4:c2ba, and 2601:18e:c400:a020:5983:ec96:3d71:71b7. Chicdat, read Wikipedia:Sock puppetry - "Misuse of multiple accounts is a serious breach of community trust. It may lead to a block of all affected accounts" - from what I can tell at WP:BADSOCK too, these violations occurred:
  • Misusing a clean start: By switching accounts or concealing a clean start in a way that avoids scrutiny is considered a breach of this policy; see Wikipedia:Clean start.
  • Evasion of sanctions: Sanctions apply to individual editors as people, not to accounts. Using a second account to edit in violation of an active block or community sanction will result in further sanctions, which may include the removal of your contributions. See also Wikipedia:Blocking policy § Evasion and enforcement.
I am very happy for the user to appeal at WP:UTRS, however, this is a case of WP:LTA. Also, your message here is slightly a WP:OUCH.
