23rd Century[edit]

  • The POV on that page had said that science had proved the world was older than that, so as long as you stayed away from that, which you did, you were not in violation of NPOV. By the way, welcome to the PEdia.TheGreenFaerae 20:02, 2 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

The GIF image Image:GameOfLife.GIF is up for deletion. It's not used in any Wikipedia articles anymore, but you use it in one of your userboxes. How would you like to use Image:Animated glider emblem.gif, or one of the un-animated images Image:Hacker Emblem.png Image:Glider.svg instead? Or even Image:CA_rule110s.png?

Also, I can't help noticing that at least two of your userboxes are identical. :) --Quuxplusone 23:11, 18 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Okay, thanks for letting me know about that. I haven't updated my userboxes in a while, which could easily result in some of them being the same as each other (I did put a LOT on, but hey it's not my fault there are so many available that apply to me). I think I'll take your advice and use that first image you linked to. :)
Another thing I was wondering about... When I was looking at the discussion about userboxes, I noticed some people saying that certain statements in userboxes, such as 'this user is an atheist' or 'this user is a creationist', would count as being biased and would not be allowed. What I'm still not sure of is whether it's putting such a statement on a template that's not allowed or whether statements to that effect are completely prohibited everywhere. I'm worried because if the latter is the case, then I think a few of my custom userboxes are in violation of that rule, and while I would personally consider it a very stupid and pointless rule, I would still prefer to abide by it than have my account deleted. - green_meklar 21:15, 21 February 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hi Green Meklar, you were quite right that to make the meaning clear I should have put "this class has the second-most species" instead of "is the second largest class of invertebrate animals, second only to the insects." Thanks for correcting that. Invertzoo (talk) 22:35, 27 December 2007 (UTC)[reply]
