June 2020[edit]

Hello, I'm Materialscientist. I noticed that you made a change to an article, Porsche 911 GT2, but you didn't provide a source. I’ve removed it for now, but if you’d like to include a citation to a reliable source and re-add it, please do so! If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks. Materialscientist (talk) 12:30, 10 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Warning icon Please stop your disruptive editing. If you continue to add unsourced or poorly sourced content, as you did at BMW 4 Series (G22), you may be blocked from editing. Magnolia677 (talk) 18:31, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Welcome[edit]

Hi, welcome to Wikipedia! I am hoping you have plenty to contribute regarding the BMW Group brands, as your credibility seems to be very solid and I probably have an inkling who you are ;).

My advice to you, is please log in to make edits. We all make mistakes and forget, but I don't want anyone to violate your privacy via seeing an IP address location, per a recent edit you likely made.

Thank you so much for your recent contributions indeed. Just make sure not to irk anyone that can take your expertise/knowledge as a threat versus an attempt to broaden Wikipedia. Please take care and feel welcome to contribute much more. Carmaker1 (talk) 20:43, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

June 2020[edit]

Stop icon You may be blocked from editing without further warning the next time you vandalize Wikipedia, as you did at BMW i4. You added a source for a toy vehicle. Please stop your disruptive editing. Magnolia677 (talk) 22:02, 11 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I don't necessarily agree with this. Not entirely my business, but this is most certainly not disruptive editing. One must learn and understand how design patents for automobiles are categorized. Even before having some patents filed in my legal name by Jaguar Land Rover, I quickly learned as a college undergrad a decade ago, how they are composed and that many descriptions exist for them, by patent offices who can easily generalize.

It's not for a toy car, so you are misreading what this user submitted in the BMW i4 article. It's why I am particular, that those of us with some professional expertise, are not vilified via WP:EXPERT for using our knowledge to help with Wikipedia misunderstandings or misinterpretations.

You need to prove that patent is for a toy car, before making such a bold claim and issuing a warning template.

I think the bigger issue we need to hash out, which has been previously used against my submissions, is how useful are design patents in the first place? It's why I stopped relying on them solely for as a source, but as a starting point to unearth vehicle program responsibilities and then finding better context to support a designer's credit.

I can only imagine this user wants to do similar, for reasons I probably shouldn't mention. Carmaker1 (talk) 02:34, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

G20 and Other BMWs[edit]

From what I can tell, your recent submissions are being reverted on the premise, the source information is somehow not reliable. It might be a good idea to bring this up within a talk page of each article you are editing and explain your intentions or you gonna run into real trouble, real quick.

I know you mean well and might have deeper knowledge regarding BMW, but I would really be careful, so you don't get reported or blocked. Take care my man. Carmaker1 (talk) 02:51, 13 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
