Refrain from moving Beyonce upwards at the List of best-selling music artists as you have repeatedly done in a period of three hours. Let me inform you that all artists at the List of best-selling music artists are required to have certain amount of certified sales. That information you can find in the second box from the top at Talk:List of best-selling music artists. That said, Beyonce has begun charting in 2003, therefore, her claimed figures must be supported by 64.8% certified sales, which means that her current available certified sales of 55.7 million can only support claimed figures as high as 85.9 million (that is singles, albums, videos combined). Also, I'm not sure where you got the 168 million claimed figure in this edit of yours as none of your provided sources (1, 2) claims any such figure. unsourced and inflated award counts[edit]

If you inflate the award count in List of awards and nominations received by Beyoncé again, you will be immediately blocked from editing. The number of awards won by the artist was more than 174 before the addition of Destiny's Child awards were added months ago. Secondly, many of the awards by the individual artist listed includes awards won by Destiny's Child. The number of awards is no where near inflated and both of us are just as capable of providing sources to each award. You're welcome to change it back to 533 if you'd like, if not, I will.

There are, at this moment, 174 cited wins for Beyonce and precisely zero properly cited wins for Destiny's Child. Feel free to add properly cited wins to the awards article and adjust the count accordingly. If this is the way you're using to edit the page, there are numerous other "awards won by" pages with no cited sources to accumulate for every award. Ironically, the Wikipedia page "List of awards and nominations received by Destiny's Child" has been all of a sudden removed.

Full citations[edit]

Please use full citations on articles. Beyoncé is a good article and so its requirements for properly cited material are high. Placing a URL, however correct, between two ref tags is not an appropriate method of citing articles. The drop-down Templates box (below the bold and italic buttons) provide the best method of citing websites, news articles, books and journals. Of greater concern than your adding information without sourcing is your adding content that looks like it sourced but is not - you edited the sentence "Throughout a career spanning 17 years, she has won 17 Grammy Awards and sold over 75 million records as a solo artist" to read "Throughout a career spanning 17 years, she has won 17 Grammy Awards and sold over 118 million records as a solo artist" and cited it to https://music.yahoo.com/blogs/music-news/chart-watch-oh-lorde-she-hot-211631968.html, which says this and only this about record sales as a solo artist: "Beyonce this week tops the 15 million mark in album sales as a solo artist." I used this source because it was used one other time on this page for the same information. 75 million is definitely discrediting majority of Beyonce's career sales, as she was certified for having sold over 130 million records in 2007, which does not include record sales from her third studio album (2008), fourth studio album (2011), and fifth studio album (2013). This is not my first time editing this part of her information as I am positive it is inaccurate.

It doesn't matter if you are positive it is inaccurate; what matters is that you cite a reliable sources that verifies the figure you place. Citing sources misleadingly is vandalism on Wikipedia and likely to get your account disabled permanently. You've been warned about this before. If it happens again, you may be indefinitely blocked without further warning.

To be absolutely clear here, our focus here is not on Beyonce or her career. Our focus is on creating a neutral, well-sourced reference work that covers many notable topics, including Beyonce. Yes, I understand that and I appreciate your help, however this is not my first time having to edit the amount of records Beyonce has sold throughout her career, and these edits have always been reverted, even with a creditable, accurate source. I'm aware there is a specific person who covers artists' record sales, however the particular user has discredited Beyonce for years on her Wikipedia page about the amount of records she's sold, as well as on the "Best-selling artists of all time" Wikipedia page. He/she has continuously listed her as having only sold 75 million records, and there are multiple sources, many of which I've provided in the past, that have been reverted and ignored. Is there anything I can do?

Yes, dispute resolution sets out several approaches you can take. It requires demonstrating to the wider community that the source you have is reliable and that the content is therefore appropriate to include. I see that you have tried reaching out to the editor, but that he removed your question without response, apparently because he didn't like where you put it. That's unfortunate. It would have been more civil and useful for him to answer you, or at least explain where to get an answer. It was equally deletable for excess reliance on copyrighted content and for promotion. Encyclopedia articles shouldn't read like a Yelp review. See if you can write and article in your sandbox that summarizes the concept from a couple of good sources and relates it to other artists, rather than making it a paean to Beyonce. As I stated before, it looks to me like it might merit brief mention in the article on the album (which album?). I don't see that it can sustain its own article, probably just a redirect to the album article. Not all phrases are notable, but I'm willing to be convinced by a well-written article. Per your edit to the UK Christmas number-ones page, try to avoid using tabloid sources (The Sun). You also found a BBC reference, which if you read further than its edited headline, actually says "chart rules mean Beyonce is denied a credit on the Christmas number one, with Sheeran's original counted as the lead track." Publications can't really invent a credit that the Official Charts Company does not use does not use in its article (all this notes is that sales of both versions counted towards the total) or on the official chart listing. I have now added a note which states that sales of versions featuring Beyonce and Andrea Bocelli counted towards the total, which is what we should specify. This article uses what the OCC lists first and foremost. Please do not edit war if you disagree, as you have been blocked for this before and an admin has warned you about; take it to the talk page. "I'm right and they are wrong" is not an acceptable excuse for disruptive editing. And posting a direct threat to engage in sockpuppetry and IP block evasion is absolutely unacceptable.
